Looking on some feedback on the differences between the 2 organization. Based on what I have read on the net, NAIA schools are smaller and comparable to NCAA D2 & D3 schools. Any coaches or parents who have first hand experience with NAIA schools your thought would be greatly appreciated

When I was in college, my school had about 500 students and played NAIA. Yes, NAIA are normally small schools that don't want to have to deal with NCAA rules and/or fees.

NAIA has there own set of rules, championships, etc...
Have own scholarship rules, playing seasons, etc
It is not an NCAA sponsored school..

Like playing USSSA instead of ASA....
Not saying that NCAA is better, just NAIA is smaller, and operates under a different set of rules, guidelines, etc
Not aware of any NAIA schools in NC, except for St Andrews next year...

NCAA and NAIA schools rarely play each other.

Heavily based in Alabama, Tenn, Ky, and Midwest, west coast....

    NAIA

NAIA can have powerhouses as admission standards and recruiting rules are different from NCAA. More freedom with both these areas. There are schools in this area that started at NAIA level!:coffee:

Montreat is the only NAIA school in NC. They play alot in GA, KY, and WV. Very small school, but man is it pretty up there. New coach who will get that program rolling.
