Carley Tysinger To Sign With Catawba College

Carley Tysinger – a 2012 pitcher from Central Davidson High School has committed to play softball for Catawba College. Carley helped lead the Lady Spartans to consecutive conference championships and consecutive trips to the 2a state playoffs in Raleigh. She was also named the 2a West Pitcher of the Year the past two years. Coach Nan Whitley is getting a great pitcher, student and person. She will be a major contributor in 2013 for the Lady Indians and will make an immediate impact in their quest for a conference title. Her signing will take place at Central Davidson High School on November 10th at 11:00 am. Your family, friends and coaches are very proud of you and look forward to hearing great things in the future.

Carley, congrats to you and your family!! Glad to see your dream come true. You have worked very hard and it has paid off. Have played with you and against you for a few years now and I was glad to finally be on your side! Though we have to face each other again this year I hope you have fun and enjoy your senior year, and continued dominance in the circle and in the box. Again congratulations.

I have watched this kid play for several years, and have never seen a more determined player! By what I am told she is just as determined with her school work. This kid is going to make such an impact at Catawba, the rest of that conference better look out. I have heard that she has traveled the country playing over the last couple of years on some very good teams and done very well, I expect nothing else in the future. Still hard to believe she is staying local, but, after reading the article in the paper today I understand. I know that you're parents are very happy that they will get to see you play in college. Stay true to yourself and have fun!!!! Can't wait to see you play your Senior year! And you are close enough that I will be able to keep up with at Catawba. Congratulations again!!
