    Being part of the Cox Mill Baseball Family I've been fortunate to see Travis play over the past 3 years. Travis is an extremely hard worker and outstanding young man. He has been a big part in helping my son develope into one of the top defensive catchers in the SPC too. Great Job Travis, and congrats to his family and Coach Vidal as well. Go Chargers !

    Way to go TW..................

    We have watched you since you were a "Seager/Duck".
    We thought you might de-commit from NCSU. I forecast more de-commits from NCSU, UNC, and South Carolina. It is reprehensible the way these three D1's way, way overcommit to high school players.
    ECU is a major D1 contender and they appear to be ethical.
    Good luck,..:biggrinjester::biggrinjester::biggrinjester:

    I am sure it was a personal decision that does not need to be shared.

    Congrats to Travis, his family, Coach Vidal and his teammates at Cox Mill.

    Travis plays the game the right way and was obviously an outstanding leader for his team. I'm sure the rest of the coaches in the conference would agree that they are looking forward to him graduating and becoming some other opposing coach's headache very soon!
    Again, congrats - the journey is just beginning. Coach Knight

    Travis Watkins

    I'd had the privilege of coaching Travis the past two years, and will this year, at CMHS. He is a top-notch kid that is 100% committed to the game of baseball and playing it the right way. There are few kids that i've EVER seen at the HS level that are as electric behind the dish as Travis is. On top of that, he's a smart baseball player who knows how to lead in every game situation. His improvement offensively over the past 2 years has been dramatic and I know he will be very successful as an ECU Pirate. The entire Cox Mill Baseball Family is proud to have Travis as one of ours.

    On top of being a tremendous baseball player, Travis has excelled in the classroom. If you meet his parents, you'll know why he's such a phenomenal kid...he has very supportive and commited parents that have encouraged him every step of the way.

    I look forward to enjoying Travis' senior year at CMHS and watching him grow and excel at ECU. Congrats and best of luck

    Coach Vidal
