2011 clinics and camps

UNCW camp slated for Nov.

WILMINGTON, N.C. - UNC Wilmington softball Head Coach Kelly Van Houten has announced the dates for the squad's fall clinics.
The Seahawks will hold separate offensive (9 a.m.-11:30 a.m.) and defensive (1-3:30 p.m.) clinics on Saturday Nov. 5 and a pitcher/catcher clinic (1:30-3:30 p.m.) on Sunday Nov.6. All sessions will be held at Boseman Field

The offensive and defensive clinics are open to all softball players' ages 10-18 years while the pitcher/catcher clinic is reserved for players' ages 13-18.

Space for all camps is limited.

 

Stanly CC Fall Softball Instructional Camp

The Lady Eagles Fall softball instructional camp
We will cover the elements and fundamentals of the game, both offensively and defensively. The goal is to cover not only the basics but also to give campers some exposure to specific strategies, tactics and concepts that can materially improve performance going forward.
All positions on the field will be covered, including pitching and catching.
Instruction will be provided by the Lady Eagles coaching staff and players, along with other, former collegiate players.

Camp Information-
Date and time – Saturday, Nov 12th, Noon – 3 PM
Location – Lady Eagles home field, Officer Jeff Shelton Memorial Park, 199 Park Dr,
Locust, NC 28097
Ages – Girls, 4th through 8th grade
Cost - $40.00 per camper, cash or check. Payable at check-in. No pre-registration.
What to bring – Glove, bat and appropriate clothing.

There will be no pre-registration. Registration will be at the field and will begin at 10:30 AM. Campers should allow plenty of time to get registered and be on the field ready to start by noon.

 

Nation Ford Fall Clinic

Nation Ford will be holding their annual fastpitch clinics November 1st-21st. This is open to all 10u-16u travel, JV, or middle school teams. We will do 2 night workouts (same week, or spread out). The NAFO players and coaching staff will work with your team from 6-7:30. We will work on what you think are your teams problem areas, or will plan a workout to best help your age group.

This year we will also do 2 individual player clinics. These clinics are open to all age groups. The 2 dates to choose from are Nov 9th and 16th, pick one or feel free to attend both. For more information or to sign up, please contact the coaches below.

Nation Ford is also looking for 1 Varsity/JV scrimmage, and 1 Varsity/JV game for this up coming year. If interested feel free to IM me.

GREENSBORO BATTING CENTER CAMPS

The GREENSBORO BATTING CENTER LOCATED ON HIGH POINT ROAD IN GREENSBORO IS RUNNING 2 DIFFERENT CAMPS OVER THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY.

Sunday December 11, 2011 9am-4:00 pm (Lunch 12-12:45pm) (Lunch Not provided) Ages 12-18- At least 1 year of Travel Ball Experience Pitching camp will offer drills and instruction on fundamental pitching mechanics as well as for advanced breaking pitches.
*Individual Hitting lessons will be available during Clinic by appointment only $40 per hr.
