    TBRockers,

Recently I reconnected with my Seattle Mariner teammate Brian Holman. I want to share with all of you this story about my teammates son David's perseverance and the Holman family's resilience.

I'm asking everyone to read this because too much emphasis has been put on "what team my son is on" or "my son needs to play with a certain group of kids".

After reading this story hopefully all of us realize that life is fragile and just being able to play the game regardless of team, team color or level is a gift in itself.

I've always respected Brian Holman as a player (RHP) because he was Midwest Rodeo Tough and a fierce competitor. After reading this article I have even a greater respect for my friend and his family for completely different reasons.

Copy and paste the link below to read the Seattle Times article written this past June. If you click on it the link won't take you to the article.

There are many lessons in this story to be applied to our lives and we will all be the better for it. I am flagging this kid to root him onto the BIG SHOW!

What an amazing story. An ironic twist to the story is the son is the hero to the dad...and well should be.

He's right; there isn't anything he won't be able to face and conquer...because he already has.
