    2013 LOGAN SHERER - East Meck High School / South Charlotte Panthers has committed to attend college and play baseball at the UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA CHARLOTTE. Logan will join the 49ers following his career at East Meck and with the SC Panthers.

    Congratulations to Logan and his parents Jeff and Tammy!

    Congrats to Logan and the Charlotte 49ers. I know your parents and grandparents are very proud of you! Coach Hibbs is getting an outstanding player but even a better young man!

    Its great to see some really good talent staying here in Charlotte and I am looking forward to seeing the UNCC baseball program surprise on the national level just as the soccer team did this year.

    Congratulations Logan. The Charlotte 49ers are getting a great baseball players and outstanding young man. I've enjoyed watching you play and grow over the last several years.

    I know your parents and grandparents are very proud of you. We look forward to seeing you and Jeremy at UNCC.

    Congrats to Logan, the SCP organization and the 49rs.

    I guess Coach Hibbs got sick of UNC, USC and Climpsun takin all the talent right out from under his nose. Good move!

    What a great kid! Well deserving. Congratulations Logan and to your family. The EM folks and staff are proud of you.

    Baylee, it wasn't that long ago that Charlotte 49'ers weren't recruiting in Charlotte at all. They didn't believe there was enough talent here. Brandon Hall changed that.

    Ironic,, I saw Logan this weekend at a basketball game. I have found him to always be a first class kid that has been raised really well. If a young student-athlete wanted to see how to speak to adults, Logan would be a good one to follow

    One of the underlying character traits that Coach Hutchins focuses on with the SCP players is bringing out their non-athletic talents - like speaking to adults.

    Logan is one who already had this skill, but I can tell you that Coach Hutchins works just as hard to develop young men's communication skills as he does to develop their baseball skills.

    I am certain that Logan as well as all of the SCP current and former players would tell you that Coach Don makes them talk! It makes a difference to prospective coaches, and obviously to others they come into contact with along the road.

    Again, congrats to Logan, East Meck and SCP staff.
