CAROLINA GATORS 18 GOLD TEAM TRYOUTS

The Carolina Gators 18 Gold Team strives to develop and promote players who want to play at the next level. We are only looking for dedicated and determined athletes that have the drive to play at the college level. With our 2012 seniors graduating and going to college, we have a few positions to fill. We are looking for outfielder, middle infielder, pitcher and catcher. Our core group of girls, returning to the gators, are solid players that are being actively recruited for D1 and D2. It has been a tradition of the Carolina Gators to help our players reach their goal of being signed. The Gators have always strived to be a very competitive team. One of our top seasons was in 2010 when our team had 83 wins and 17 losses. In order to be seen and get signed, our team will play some of the toughest showcases and compete in ASA qualifiers for the nationals in 2012. This can be the right opportunity for the right young ladies to be seen at this top level of exposure. As we all know it takes traveling to the right tournaments to increase your opportunity to get signed. Listed below are a few of our tournaments for the summer and fall schedule. These are a few – others will also be played in Georgia, North and South Carolina etc.

Georgia – ASA 18 Gold qualifier, Savannah
Florida – Ft Lauderdale , Kissimmee
Colorado – Firecracker Showcase
New York – TC/USA Nationals (CBS sports televised)
Virginia – East Coast Showcase
Tennessee – Chattanooga

These tournaments will maximize your exposure to college coaches from all around.

NOTE: Location of players is not an issue. We have 1 weekend of spring training and then we do not practice due to the distance of all players on our team. We have players from Georgia, North and South Carolina and Mississippi etc.

 

Charlotte Blaze Red 12u OPEN POSITION FOR 2012

The Charlotte Blaze Red 99 team is based out of South Charlotte and we are looking for one player to fill the roster for 2012. This team had an 80% winning percentage as a young 12U team and will be very competitive this year. We are an "A" bracket team and we will play some of the bigger events in the Southeast. We are looking for the right family and talented kid to join our group of girls. We will start sports training in January and indoor hitting as well. If you are interested, lets talk.

NEW Charlotte Starz 10-U Purple

The Charlotte Starz, one of the area's premier travel fastpitch organizations, is pleased to introduce our newest team - Coach Kelly Barbee's Starz 10-U Purple. Our newest Starz team will be built around girls born in 2002, in their first year of eligibility in 10-U, and will practice at our home fields at Martin Middle School in the University area of Charlotte. Coach Kelly plans a 10-12 tournament spring and summer schedule beginning in early March through July, playing primarily in the Charlotte area.

Coach Kelly brings more than 4 years of experience in travel fastpitch softball to the Starz. His teams have consistently been known for their aggressive base running and sound defense, and you can expect more of the same with his Starz team. Coach Kelly will be building this team from the ground up and is looking for talented, hardworking young ladies with strong family support. This is a great opportunity to join one the areas most established organizations, featuring successful teams in 10-U, 14-U, and 16-U Showcase.

Initial tryouts for the spring have been scheduled at the following dates and times:

• Saturday, 01/07/2012, 12:00 - 3:00 PM

• Sunday, 01/22/2012, 2:00 - 4:00 PM

From Charlotte, take I-85 North to exit 43 - City Boulevard. Turn left onto City Boulevard and travel 0.7 miles and then make a slight right onto Neal Road. Travel 0.8 miles and make a right onto IBM Drive. Martin Middle School will be 0.2 miles on your right.

From Concord, travel on I-85 South to exit 45-B, Harris Boulevard. Turn right onto Harris and travel 0.2 miles to IBM Drive. Turn right onto IBM Drive and travel 1 mile - the entrance to Martin will be on your left.

From I-77 in North Charlotte take exit 18 and turn East onto Harris Boulevard. Travel approximately 6 miles and turn right onto IBM Drive. Travel 1 mile and the entrance to Martin will be on your left.

Once you arrive at the school, take the 3rd entrance on your right and travel around to the back of the school. The softball field is located up the hill behind the grove of trees between the baseball and soccer fields. Please park in the lot at the bottom of the hill. Note that there are no restrooms available at the school.

 

CV Storm - Blochaviak

The CV Storm Blochaviak will be conducting individual workouts for a prospective athlete in the upcoming weeks. We are looking for a player that understands what is needed to be successful on the showcase circuit as well as at the next level. Our 2012 summer schedule is set including acceptance into the Atlanta Legacy, Dynamite Classic and Eastern Elite Showcase. Catawba River Rage Gold 12u is looking to fill some remaining spots on the team.

We are looking for hard working dedicated players, looking to grow together to take the team to the next level.

We are looking for AGGRESSIVE girls willing to learn with positive attitudes.

We are mainly a 2000 team that is going to continue playing at a higher level, playing the best teams. Working our girls fundamentally to make them better athletes

On Tuesdays we practice at an indoor facility 6-8, Saturdays 1-3 on the field.
