I thought of something fun. It's the offseason. It's time to make it happen in the gym, the weight room, the tee, the batting cage, bullpens, the long toss field. Time to put in time ON YOUR OWN to improve your game. Sometimes music helps set the mood, sometimes its a story, or a video. Please share your most inspirational or motivational video below.

    I'll start with a few....
    1. Adam Bender - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4LMBEBM1qc
    2. Bob Hurley explains setting goals, his son's drive, and why you "become great in anonymity" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRf-U1PJTVw&feature=related (start watching at the 3:30 min mark).
    3. I am a champion - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yX39J_YyKbs&feature=share

Can I mention the most inspirational person that I knew?..and what made him inspire others? Or we can keep this on topic about videos and I can start a new thread. I don't want to turn your thread.

    "I am A Champion!"

Post15fan - Really liked these. Showed the "I Am A Champion" to my son and he showed me his Ipod. He's had it there for a couple of years and watches it before games. He also likes and watches the speech by Al Pacino from Any Given Sunday - "Inch By Inch." Thanks again for sharing these.

David Port is a senior pitcher for the Appalachian State Mountaineers; he is also majoring in Graphic Arts & Imaging Technology. I personally think he is pretty good at what he does. The link below is a sampling of his work and from what I understand, it is definitely inspiring his fellow teammates.

Another of my favorites....Facing the Giants & Faith

Thanks guys. Keep them coming. I love the song "3000 violins" song in the App St video. The video with him playing with one leg always gets to me. Some are winners just by trying.

Sometimes you don't know what you are capable of until you try http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vB59PkB0eQ (Faciing the Giants)

Sometime you have to be given a chance and you succeed because you have to. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtJVs3p2mk8 (Faith the dog).

If something drives or inspires you. even if it's a thought, or an expression, and not a video, please share it.

My favorite is the Jim Valvano speech from the 1993 ESPY Awards. He died about 3 weeks after making it. I know it's not baseball related, but it still makes me a little misty-eyed.

    same man in person

I used to watch him talk with coaches before and after practice in Reynolds (I had AFROTC classes in there). And he had the same energetic, fun, personable nature as you see on the video. Thanks for sharing.

How about others. What drives you...inspires you?

    Nice video

Liked the slow mo, dynamic warmup, medball slams, and the work ethic theme. (A little colder that the Texas i remember from part of my youth. )
