Blake Sides Heading To Western Carolina

    [FONT=&quot]It is an honor to announce that Blake Sides, (2012 CBC O's/Hickory Ridge H.S.), has verbally committed to Western Carolina University. Blake has been an excellent addition to the CBC O’s Baseball Program. His drive and determination on the ball field has helped him join Coach Moranda and the Western Carolina Baseball Program. He is a 6ft 1in Right Handed Hitter & Pitcher that shows off exceptional tools offensively as well as an 84 to 86 mph fastball on the mound. Congratulations to Blake, his parents, and Coach Moranda at WCU.[/FONT]

    Blake is a Tough Kid

    I know they are the Catamounts but they just got a real bulldog of a kid! This is a "never back down and never give in" young man. What to go kid!!!!!

    I've known Blake since he was in middle school and we thought he was coming to Central Cabarrus (before Hickory Ridge opened). He is a great kid who is exactly what was described here earlier....a bulldog who will fight to his last breath to win a game.

    He'll have a great teammate from Kings Mountain too, Dallas Conner.

    The site was very interesting and it is honour to announce that Preston Fry has verbally committed to Splartaanburg Methodist College. Preston was with the CBC O's Baseball program for an year to be a standout hitter and outfielder with the 2012 class. Congrats Preston ,you are an exceptional young man that has worked hard to achieve your dreams of playing at the next level. Some of other that he commits are :
