    interesting

thought he was destined to be a Wolfpack baseballer; guess not.

looks like he's at a strong baseball JC in a strong conference down there.

So after a year or 2 at D1 then transfer to JC is a fast track to get back to a D1 w/o sitting out a year which would not be feasible if you intend to play..................

I think you are right, and I think it's becoming very common.

    and

and can you take this same described path for being "draft eligible" a year sooner than if you stay at the same D1 for the required 3 years?

What situations would call for this type of transfer?

    Lots of situations

... well take into consideration any number of reasons. Most of them falling into the personal, academic, legal categories.

Heck what if you didn't get along with the coach, was homesick, couldn't break into the lineup, was getting ready to be academically ineligible, etc.

I have no idea on the situation, but if I was working on keeping my baseball dream alive over my getting an education - I'd certainly consider it. Lucky for me my baseball skills did not have me make any tough decisions after junior high.

    Mikal Hill

Many reasons for transferring. Mikal Hill bailed on USC this fall and transferred to Miami-Dade.
