Was at a High School Game today and the umps deemed a BBCOR bat on both teams not legal. 32 inch OK. What the heck is this all about? The only difference in the 32 vs. 33 inch is the handle is longer. Can somebody out there share some insight on this?

    Exit Speeds

The NCAA deemed the exit speeds on the 33 inch bat to exceed bbcor specs so it was banned. I didn't know the NCHSAA was following this ruling though.

    Marucci Bats

We played a scrimmage last night at Cox Mill and hat a Marucci "Cat 5" bat deemed illegal. It's only the 33-inch bat for some reason. Obviously the family was not thrilled with that.

I checked out Marucci's website this morning and they have already set up a return/exchange process for those 33-inch Cat 5 bats. Check out the website below and all the information you need to return the bat is included. Marucci is a quality company and stands behind their bats. Check it out
