    Sanderson Spartans throw no-hitter

    In the opening game of the year the Spartans threw a no-hitter in a 10-0 win to start the 2012 season.

    Daniel Bulaney (2014) got the win while Daniel Farrell (2013) was 2-2 and Cas Silber (2013) was 3-3. The young guns are at it again - brings back some fond memories!

    I hope this is a sign of good things to happen over at Sanderson Field at Optmist Park and the Spartans return to the playoffs.

    LEE vs APEX

    Lee beat Apex 1-0

    Nic Durazo through a no hitter.
    Apex left handed stud, not sure of his name, also threw a gym, both pithcers struck out double digits.

    Lee got a lead off triple in the bottom of 7th, walk the next batter, then lefty/lefty match up, walk, then with bases loaded, a hit by pitch to bring in the game winning run.

    C. Gaines (5 ings.), C. Wenger (1 ing.), and D. Jackson (1 ing.) combined on a 2 hitter, Cavaliers move to 2-0 on season.

    I thought Sanderson beat Cary 3-2 yesterday? Or were you talking about their opener on Tuesday/Wednesday?

    Sanderson did defeat Cary yesterday. The no hitter was in their opener against Southeast on Wednesday. The Spartans play tonight at Pinecrest.

    Ryan Tapp pitches 5 innings for the win. Kenny Palmer (SV) 3-4. Colby Barnette (PD) hits 2 run homer in first inning.

    Looks like Kenny off to a great start.....great kid......very well coached for several years(5+) by former MLB Pitcher Mike Gardiner/Stealth Baseball
