    Ok, it fixed it, lol ..... it JUST felt like a complete game (6 IP on 117 pitches)

    Marvin Ridge - 2.
    Marvin Ridge up 2 - 1 going into the bottom of the 6th when Brandon Fallick and Austin Pierce had some timely hits. Nick Contafio ended up with the win and Cameron Tekker closed it out in the 7th for the save. Cuthbertson travels to North Stanly on Friday.

    Mallard Creek at it again

    We caught Tuesday's game between Lake Norman and Mallard Creek, expecting LKN to dominate since I had been led to believe that MC had graduated "everybody". Come to find out the hard way that the Morgan kid was still in school. His teammates scored some runs but he was the story.
    Top of the first LKN was threatening big time, loading the bases with no outs I think when MC coach heads for the bump and lo and behold he calls Kirk Morgan from ss to pitch. Long story short, we scored two runs that 1st inning and goose eggs the rest of the way. What a masterful performance from a kid I thought was only a middle infielder. Anybody know if he has/will get an offer from D1?
    There is always Friday. Maybe we will put it on them then.

    Great kid and great teammate. Kirk will be attending East Carolina University after he graduates from MC next year. He's a junior this year.
