Why do people never talk about NAIA baseball?

Correct me if I'm wrong here -- but most of the NAIA schools are in other areas of the country. Years ago, there were a number of NAIA schools in this region -- however, with the growth and popularity of NCAA D2, most, if not all, of the southeastern schools that were affiliated with the NAIA, are now NCAA D2 schools.

I believe tn. has some good NAIA and juco/comm. colleges. I know South Caldwell has a couple of former players playing there. Shane Clawson is at Bryan College and Cody Poarch is at Walters State and both are doing very well from what I hear

Montreat College is currently the only NAIA in NC. We play in the AAC, www.aacsports.com

Next season, we will be adding St. Andrews Presbyterian College, as they become NAIA and join our conference.

Here is a link to our roster as well: I know alot of people on this site have followed many of our current players while they were in high school.

People who really follow college baseball know that the NAIA has some terrific baseball teams in it; and it'd be great to see ongoing updates and discussion about NAIA teams in the region by those who are close to it.

To take a stab at the original question, I suspect that the fact that North Carolina has an inordinate number of DI and DII programs accounts for the prevalence of discussion about them here; at the expense of the NAIA.

I, for one, would like to be able to come here and learn more about regional NAIA programs.
