In all fairness, the 4pm start was probably due to accomodate a NW request for more tome in the cages. I could be wong though.......

 

Concord vs. Central

Anyone know what the status of the Concord v Central Series is? I've heard they're playing Monday...anyone know times/location? or if they still have to make up both games?

 

Strange comment coming from the guy that absolutely SLAMMED coaches and players at AL Brown a couple of years ago.

 

Many people believe they can say anything on the internet and hide behind a screen name with no consequences. But TBR is more like a community than a typical messageboard. Most members will be held accountable for their posts because there are very few members that aren't known. We may not always agree, but we can still respect each other,.

I believe weyco apologized for that situation and has moved forward to become a very valuable information source.

True, TBR is not the place to slam anyone involved with HS baseball---even umpires. A matter of fact, I am extremely proud that we have umpires as members. Most are discouraged to post on messageboards.

Although TBR is known for giving out accolades to players, it's fun to have members with personalities. That's what keeps it exciting.

 

May I ask the status of the JMR/NW game? Was it played, if not completed when is it rescheduled?

I was planning on making the drive to JMR this afternoon, but as I was planning to leave, I saw all the squirrels and other animals lining up in 2's, so I stayed inside. Weve gotten nearly 2 inches of rain at my house since 4pm.

Also if any big matches are scheduled this week with other teams? This staying inside is driving me nuts. I got to get to a ballpark, soon.

Lollie, I hear ya, but dont get me started about this league playing the same team twice in one week. I have never like this, for multiple reasons. I dont believe you try to fix nothing unless its broken.

 

braves, I'm didn't slam weyco, just an honest observation on my part. Nor do I think lollie's post warranted weyco's response directing him to use "tact". In fact, lollie's post seems to be dead on given the circumstances. I'm glad weyco apologized for his actions, good for him, he needed to, but to think he's in a position to critique board etiquette is absurd.

tj, an attempt was made to get the game in this afternoon but lightening started flashing about 20 minutes into it. Game was suspended in top of 2nd. with JMR leading 3-1. They'll try to play it Monday at 4pm.

 

Wasn't directed at just LOLLIE, go back and read 2 pages. And my friend I never slammed players, only our own coaches. I know its hard to accept a loss, but to claim a conspiracy by the opposing team is what's absurd, weather has been creating havoc across the county and effected most games. Just stop whining about it....

 

Then you should have posted a response 2 pages ago. As far as the loss goes, there's not been one post on here that has taken anything away from JMR and they're win last Tuesday. And yes my friend, you most certainly did slam players along with the coaches on your website. Maybe you need to go back and do a little reading just to refresh your memory.
