    Why blame Blue????

Get real now! Let's keep it about the young men. Seems to me that the real story here is that in back to back competition this week between MC and NM, North MECK didn't even scratch. AND....MC is on an eight game win streak.

I would like to keep it about the players, but the umpires managed to take that away. I was just replying to an earlier post that brought up what happened last night. While I recognize that North is in rebuilding mode after graduating 9 seniors last year, the fact is that the home plate umpire lost control of the game before it even started. You have to admit that our pitcher threw a spectacular game - a complete game with 12 strikeouts. Mallard Creek's only runs scored on passed balls. They certainly didn't outplay us. I am not the only one complaining about the umpires. Mallard Creek's Athletic Director was on the phone during the game complaining as well. She admitted that our player was safe at home and that the umpire was out of position. She also admitted that there was no basis for our coach to be restricted to the dugout.

Tell me if you even know what position the ump was suppose to be in, I doubt that you even have a clue. How bad did you lose and of course it was the bad umpiring that caused it.:N1blablablabla02:

Weddington sweeps SV on 1 run differential games

For the 3rd game in a row, Weddington edges SV by 1. Andrew Knight hits a double in the 6th to push the only run of the game across the plate.

SV- Smith take the loss, but had a good night on the mound with 8 k's, no walks, I think 3-4 hits.

    W- Borelli gets the win with 4 k's, 3 walks, and I believe 2 hits (?).

Weddington goes to 5-1 in conference play
SV goes to 2-4 in conference play

North Meck rebuilding, umpires? Sorry, just don't like hearing excuses. Did the umpire throw the passed ball? It always seems like people get wrapped up in making excuses when they take a tough loss. Umpires, rebuilding, ______, ________......somebody else's fault. That gets old. Tip your cap and move on. I'm guessing the MC athletic director also protested the game so NM would get the win? Get real.

Baseball is a game of detail and what makes it so great is that human error is a factor. Man I'm sick of hearing excuses. Sounds like an exciting game regardless of the outcome. Sounds like the kid pitched a good game but if they won, they outplayed you.

You obviously did not read my earlier posts. First of all, I never blamed the umpires for our loss. This whole thread was started by someone who wasn't at the game and asked for someone who was there to post what happened with the umpires and our coach getting tossed. I did that. I stated what happened with the umpires. I NEVER blamed the umpires for our loss. I said that the plate umpire definitely thought it was all about him, and from what I have read here, that is his reputation so there's nothing new there. I never said the MC athletic director protested the game so we would get the win. That's just crazy. I said that the MC AD was also on the phone during the game registering a complaint about the behavior of the umpires. I wanted to point out that it wasn't just North - who lost the game - complaining but that Mallard Creek also complained because the umpire's behavior was that outrageous.

Please don't post the name, but I bet I know who the umpire was....and that's a shame to have that reputation.

It sounds like it was a terrific game..intense, low scoring, every pitch counts. I love those kind of games.
