Southeastern Baseball Classic - Hartsville, SC

    Cuthbertson HS - 3
Peters Township HS (McMurray, PA) - 2

    WP - Nick Contafio
    Save - Cameron Tekker

Brandon Fallick stepped up with 2 doubles in the game. Cuthbertson has Gaffney, SC today and St. Ignatius (Chicago, IL) tomorrow before the championship round on Saturday.

Asked a parent from Fairfax, VA. if they had brought the Varsity and JV with them (The HS is Paul VI) and she insisted it was only the varsity with a 28- man roster that came down to the tournament. Geez. It is really a very nice tournament where they have volunteers as team parents for the boys and breakfast is served by different churches in the area for the teams. The weather seals the deal this week!

    Hartsville baseball history

4A State Champs in 2007, '86, '81, '72. They have a solid history. On an opposing team, I watched Brooks Shumake pitch for Hartsville in early 80's he headed to Clemson, and was drafted. They had a LHP that threw gas also.

Not a bad coaching record either (7 regional titles, 5 district titles, and 2 state titles).

    Ain't too worried....

If it takes Higgy the same amount of time to make a phone call as it takes for him to walk out for a mound visit.....I got years!!!
