Question about play cards on arms

Check out Oklahoma /Missouri. Game OU is wearing armbands. I guess when your ideas are limited - there probably isn't a need for them -this post cracks me up.Poster probably got beat by a team wearing them- now they should be illegal.ha.

 

And it appears the Oklahoma batters are using them!

 

Missouri should complain those armbands I am sure gave Oklahoma an unfair advantage

 

You don't have to act like a jackass. My daughter is out of high school and plays in college so no concerns for me. I saw it and wanted to know the deal. Never saw outfielders at college games wearing them.

 

Some coaches give a set of numbers instead of sign of offense. Player checks armband to see whether to bunt steal etc. Have heard several coaches say they prefer number system over signs. My DD travel team used them and she said she liked number system better than signs. I have not tried it yet but would like to hear from some that have.

 

The pitcher may not wear anything on her pitching hand, wrist, forearm or thigh that may be distracting to the batter. If she is wearing this on her pitching forearm then she needs to put it on her glove arm or take it off.

These are no different then wristbands which are completely legal.

Lots of teams use them

My daughter's catcher's on D1 team wear them. It's how she signals pitches. I saw Chipola CC play a couple of years ago and the entire defense wore them. Appeared to be mostly for defensive calls like bunt coverage. Maybe this was because the CC is always turning over players . . . the roster is there is usually 70% freshmen. Of course Chipola has an open admissions policy also

 

I use them with my team. As stated previously, we use a number system rather than signs. My players have unanimously preferred them to signs over the years. Regarding pitchers, we've had on team ever complained about it being a distraction. We removed it (pitcher knew her signs), no big deal.
