    Unbelievable.

I distinctly remember (about 6-7 years ago) during one of our famous showcase/legion "discussions" on this very board, about how kids were opting "not to play" legion ball and they were choosing showcase,,,,,,, Braves and I discussed the fact that we hoped we never saw kids quit on their own high school teams for the same reasons.

    Holy U-Turn Batman!

I was just kidding! BUT, last week a team cruised through Charlotte on their spring baseball tour.... The team was from Maryland, some DC suburb, from St. John's high school. The "Patriots" who played CCDS were the same Patriots who cruised through here last summer on the SHOWCASE circuit. The SCP's played them at UNC and then again in Jupiter.

But the California thing....well there's a reason they call that the land of fruits and nuts.

Everyone relax.... Partin didn't like the Forsyth Country Day experience and Petty doesn't like math. Not happening here unless the World Baseball League takes off.

When I was in school not to long ago, my Junior and Senior year (2002-03, and 2003-04) my varsity team finished both seasons with 20 wins, my junior year we did not make the playoffs, and my senior year we had to win the conference tournament to make the playoffs as a 3 seed. Now I seems like mediocre gets you into the playoffs.

    I wouldn't take more than 3 from a conference. Too many conferences getting 4 & 5 bids.

Good Baylee...I would expect my pay to start at around $100/game and work up from there...:)
