    Providence 4 Butler 3

Heartbreaking loss to PVD 4-3 on error in bottom of 7th inning at Providence. Dalton Eisenbath hurled a CG allowing 1 earned run with 8 K's and took the loss. MLB was out in force to see Arkansas recruit Ty Buttrey throw 6 innings and getting a no decision. Buttrey had 7 K's. This marks the third time Butler cannot hold a 3 run lead against the conference elite. Dang. Jacob Whittingham had a nice 2 run single in the first. Andrew Moser had a sac fly in the third. Butler had 3 errors to flaw a great game. It unfourtunately has been that type of year for the Bulldogs. Herbert pitched the 7th and received the win. Webcast on TBR. Butler hosts SM Friday on senior night.

BulldogsBacker: Talk about a tough way to lose....seen it happen many times and it won't be the last, just the nature of the beast in the game we love so much, and it's definitely frustrating to keep losing the same types of games, you just have to hope the guys will learn from it and not make the same mistake a fourth time...but what a great game for those in attendance, sounds like some quality players on both squads
