Ryan Dull has had pretty good last 2 weekends. Defeated Campbell and Liberty, who both defeated ACC teams. Against Campbell 6IP 9H 2ER 0BB 7K and against Liberty 7.1IP 7H 0R 0ER 1BB 11K both wins! Was named Big South Pitcher of the week after the victory against Liberty.

    Very Wierd but wow.

So in a case of wow that is hard to believe....once again, for the 4th year in a row Brad Collins has homered on his birthday.

Senior year 2 HR at South Meck on Birthday
First ever Collegiate HR at Charleston Southern on birthday
soph year HR at home on Birthday
tonight HR and triple on Birthday

The weird part---every one of the college birthday HR's happened:
    6th inning
    full count
put the team in the lead
    games were won
    game winning rbi

    Way to go Brad

What a way to celebrate his birthday. If your going to have a habit, that's a good one to have! You can tell he works his butt off the other 364 days a year.

    Rookie of the Week

    http://www.charlotte49ers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=23200&ATCLID=205422013

Brad was named A-10 Rookie of the Week on 3/5 then the following week suffered a fracture to his left hand diving in to a base (in Missouri). After sitting out 6 weeks he was cleared by the doctor last Tuesday and eagerly went back to work. This weekend he received his second ROW recognition as Charlotte swept George Washington. Hoping to get on a roll and get everybody healthy for a tourney run!!!

Congrats to all achievements as seasons wind down

We all think our own kids are outstanding with their accomplishments both on and off the field, but it's cool when your kid gets recognition besides our own "attaboy."

I couldn't be more proud of my son and what he's accomplished so far in his baseball career....

It's an honor simply to be named to this list and that's perfectly enough for me.

On a different note... GO PIRATES!!
