does your HS baseball team have a PA announcer for the games? I miss that when there is not one.

East Meck, Catholic, Belmont South Point, Myers Park, and a few select others have great PA announcers. Yes, the games are more fun when there is a good announcer in the background. Good music between innings is also a must!!

The announcer and music at West Forsyth are outstanding.

At Cox Mill - we do use an announcer, and I have been to lots of places and I have not heard anyone challenge our music - timely and professionally cut in and out. makes for a great atmosphere

There does seem to be a few in the greater Charlotte area that are way over the top. Announce the players names, numbers & positions and leave the "play by play" to the radio guys. When it comes to on field announcers, less is definitely more........I can't imagine Hall of Fame announcers Sherm Feller (Red Sox) or Bob Sheppard ( Yankees ) doing what some of these clowns do with the microphone. I can only imagine what some of the home fans and coaches think let alone the visitors........as in life, think before you speak........

I think Kannapolis still uses a phonograph turntable :jump:, agree CM has a great PA guy. I can do without the over the top stuff like sound effects and such it takes away from the game.
