Mallard Creek vs T C Roberson Friday night

Is this a major upset? Mallard Creek beat Roberson Friday night to move to the fourth round against Hough at the Creek Tuesday night. Apparently Roberson was nationally ranked by ESPN.

Kirk Morgan pitched a 3 hitter and went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI's. Also was reported that the Maverickks played a flawless defense.
Quite a night before an overflow crowd in Asheville.

Even though Mallard Creek put in on my LN TEAM..........way to go Mavs.
BTW, their head coach is HOT, HOT, HOT.

I-MECK's Hough and Mallard Creek square off again at Mallard Creek HS this Tuesday at 7:00.

 

This is simply amazing. Not because Hough and MC don't have the talent, but rarely were they ever mentioned as teams to go this far. The good news is IMeck has two teams in round 4. The bad news is they will only have one after this round.

Mallard Creek was discussed quite a bit last year, but very little this year. Can we get an update about this team? Outside of Kirk Morgan, I am not as familiar with their players.

Also note the two teams are now in the 4th round.
the Mallard Creek players have been getting better every game this season. Clearly Morgan is the team leader and spirit of the team. The kid is driven to win and has become infectous to his teammates. You need to see them play. They have two good starters in kayden Krouse and Morgan. let's not overlook the head coach's impact.
Also, these two teams matched up twice the last week of the regular season with MC coming out on top both times. You know what "they" say about winning the third game.
I agree we need knowledgeable input on both teams by folks who know something.
Also, if you go to the game, get there early.

My comments about the Mallard Creek team come from watching them play Lake Norman three times this season.

 

The I-Meck had a tough draw in this season's playoffs. After 4 of 5 teams won their first round games, they were matched against each other in round 2 forcing 2 teams to go home. Now in the 4th round the IMeck once again will eliminate itself to 1 team.

 

Could not miss this opportunity

Dirtymo, right you are about the IMECK's tough draw. Too bad all the SW conference teams did not get matched against each other in the first round. Methinks some would have made it to the second round.
