Congrats to Tyler and all the local players drafted. Congrats to Chris Perry too, what a testiment to what sticking with it and working hard can do. Being in the right program, or place is key for someone getting their chance...and running with it. Being his dad I know you are proud of him as well you should be. Best wishes to all thse local young men.

What a great, great story. Just another easy decision for the Perry clan:lmao:
Regardless what decision Chris makes, congratulations in being drafted. It happens to very few players and to be one of the few is quite an honor.

I'm looking forward to see what happens this summer. Please keep us informed.

I absolutely agree, about the honor. More than likely you don't get to the majors, but this is an easy decision. Chris has 2 seasons of D2 college eligibilty left and has been in contact with Wingate, Lenior Rhyne, and UNCP about next year - but the Cardinals want him to fly down and sign this Sunday, and that is what is going to happen.

Braves on a personal note - thanks for all your help on this - but this truly is an easy decision for us.

That's exciting, Ed. I am so happy for Chris and obviously, the whole Perry family. I hope he gets to play for Mike Shildt very soon.
