All District

Anyone know when the All District list will be posted ?

It is June 15 - just wondering when the All-District selections will be released?

 

Any word on when the announcement of All District will be? I really wish you wouldn't give dates of announcements if you are not going to do it on that date. I know everyone puts a lot of time and engergy into this, but it's the same every year. From now on just go with "It will be announced in June" and don't give a date you are not going to stick to.

 

It has been this way for many years. June 15th is an estimated date of announcement, not a definitive date. Generally speaking they are not put up on the weekends, so likely the results will be posted next week.

Please remember, the people working on all district are all avid supporters of softball in North Carolina and dedicate a vast amount of their time to making these awards possible. I applaud them for the work they do, and if time lines are not perfect, so be it.


Be patient, they will appear.

 

I am not fussing, really I'm not. I do appreciate the time and engery they give for softball in NC. All I'm saying is the NC Softball Website site said, "by June 15." Most of these coaches are teachers and when they give deadlines for students in school, they expect them to meet deadlines. That is my point. Don't give a deadline date unless you meet it. You have to be example in everything, including meeting deadlines...

 

Yes, on that note, perhaps mid-to-late June would be better wording

On the back of the forms for All District nominations that are on the ncfastpitch.org website, there is contact information for every region Director. I plan to call our region director today to see whats up.

Another issue I have is just having them posted on a website with no prior "heads up" to the coaches who nominated them. I know in talking to other coaches, we all went thru alot of work to complete the forms and follow the process, I would hate for any of my players, should they be worthy of being selected, to hear from someone other than their coach that they were selected if possible. For All Conference we knew ahead of time and were able to have some great conversations with those who won, having it just posted on a website as potentially the first way people are notified doesnt feel all that great to me.
