The Carolina Storm Surge is pleased to announce tryouts on Saturday July 21. The Factory, 1845 Grandmark St. Wake Forest, NC 27587 Field 1 - 8:00am - 9:30am 12u (00), 9:30am-11am 14u (98), 11am-1pm 14u (99)....Field 2 - 9:30am - 11am 10u (01), 11am - 1pm 14u (99)...if you are interested in trying out, please send an email to [email protected] ......If you wish for a private tryout please note in your email, all inquiries will be kept confidential. We are based out of Wake County NC..

 

Catawba River Rage 14U Tryouts

The Catawba River Rage 14U based out of the Maiden/Lincolnton/Denver area will be holding tryouts on July 31st and August 2nd at 6:30pm. We currently have openings for 1-2 strong players due to some current team members aging up. The Catawba River Rage is committed to playing at the highest level and expects the same from its players.

18u Guest Pitcher/Utility Needed for Florence 7/12 - 7/15

NC Strike Force 18u is looking for a couple players to fill in due to injury/vacation of some of our players. We could especially use a strong pitcher. NC Strike Force 18u - Roster Openings

NC Strike Force 18U, based out of Angier, is looking for a few players to complete our roster for Fall 2012/Spring 2013.

We will need to add a pitcher to our roster as we have one moving on to college. In addition, we are interested in hard-working, smart, athletic, and driven young ladies who want to compete in college showcase tournaments. Our team plays a disciplined brand of defense where communication is paramount and an aggressive brand of offense that requires a good bat and exceptional speed and decision making.

We play a challenging schedule, but limit travel to NC and neighboring states. Our remaining schedule for 2012 includes multiple college scrimmages as well as the following tournaments:
7/12 - 7/15, Hot Times Classic - Florence, SC
8/10 - 8/12, Cardinals Late Summer Showcase - Raleigh, NC
9/8 - 9/9, Kristy Edwards Memorial Tournament - Burlington, NC
9/22 - 9/23, Ray Chandler Memorial Showcase - Rock Hill, SC
10/19 - 10/21, Guilford College Showcase - Burlington, NC
11/9 - 11/11, Early Signings Showcase - Myrtle Beach, SC

We will hold a tryout in August, however anyone currently looking for a team is encouraged to contact us now.

Tar Heels Stars 2012-2013 Tryouts

The Tarheel Fastpitch Stars will hold tryouts July 28 at the Northwood HS softball field in Pittsboro, NC.

Registration is currently underway for tryouts for the 2012-2013 season. To register for the tryout, please go to the “About The Stars” menu and complete the form under “Get More Info”.

The Stars organization fields teams of elite players throughout the state and region that are looking for PROFESSIONAL coaching and play at a high level. The goal of the Stars is to help players extend their career beyond high school by preparing them to play at a high level, and presenting them to university and college recruiters.

The Tarheel Fastpitch Stars is a North Carolina Corporation and has obtained the IRS 501©(3) status to formally operate as an tax-exempt, non-profit corporation. The purpose is to foster amateur sports competition. The mission is to provide a professionally organized, structured, and supportive environment with quality development and professional coaching to inspire student athletes, and assist them in fulfilling their dreams of achievement in academic excellence, high level competition and playing collegiate softball.

The Stars have knowledgeable, experienced, professional coaches for our teams that have proven experience teaching, coaching and exposing talented players to college coaches and programs. We play at some of the best showcase tournaments in the region. The 2012-2013 schedule includes the Atlanta Legacy Showcase; the Dynamite Classic in Columbia, SC; the Carolina Cardinal Showcases in Rock Hill, SC and Raleigh, NC.; the Gold Diamond in TN; the Team NJ Showcases in NJ and FLA; and the WFC Early Signing Showcase, in SC.

Head Coach Monica Armendarez
Hometown Carlsbad, NM – 1998 graduate of Indiana University as a 4 Time All Big Ten and 2 Time All American. Following her outstanding college career Monica played in the Women’s Professional Softball League with the Carolina Diamonds for two seasons, where in 1999 she set the WPSL single-season home run record (12), one season for the WPSL All-Star Team, as well as a season with the Akron Racers. Seven years as an 18U Head Coach, former Head Coach of the Carolina Lady Blues.

Started all 193 games Northwestern played during her career … Concluded her career ranked fourth in NU history in walks (101), fifth in home runs (41), slugging (.554) and RBIs (154), and sixth in on-base percentage (.403); NFCA All Region Team in 2008 and 2010; All Big Ten 3 of her 4 college seasons; Started all games and was a key contributor to the 2008 ASA 18u Class “A” National Champion Lemont, IL Rockers; Coached the Lemont Rockers, 2008 thru 2010; Coached the St. Charles Comets 14u, 2010-2011 before moving back to NC last year to become an assistant coach at one of the leading D-1 programs in North Carolina.

I am a 2012 graduate committed/signed for the Fall but looking to guest play in the Cardinals Classic 7/20-7/22 and perhaps a showcase or tourney at the end of July and the first of August. Want to keep my skills sharp before heading off to school. My primary position is centerfield but can play any OF position. Carolina Mash 12u team roster is nearly complete, I am looking for 1 more pitcher, preferably 2001 bday, but will consider 2000. This is a no daddy ball team, coach entering 11th year of experience assisted by former D1 player. Team center in the Oxford NC area, practices will be conducted at Northern Granville Middle School and JF Webb High School.
