I had seen Cherryville plenty of times........that is not the point. The point is what Georgia team's catcher did, he threw ball to back of Cherryville ball player. That is UNCALLED for no matter what! If that team was Caldwell County that got hit in the back, I would feel the same way.

It sound like your problem is you lower yourself to their level and wouldn't mind throwing a ball to somebody's back....geez no wonder some posters really do not care for Caldwell County and you...... When you post things like what you said to me, Quote:

"LMAO...yea right...poor Cherryville....you really don't know Cherryville very well do you"

......That explains who you (Carolina Man) are and what you think of things like that!

I support any team that got class and beat the teams on the scoreboard. I also support teams that lose with class and it is a lot harder to do that. That really show how that teams behave and coached by an excellent person.

I saw Kernersville plenty of times last few years and it shows how well they act due to their coaches. There are other teams like K'ville in same mode. Caldwell is not one of them and never will be!

Hey Fellas and there is to many of you to call by name but I have met Carolina man this past week and he was nothing but classy before during and after the games. Even in the loss with the controversial call he wished me luck and the only thing he said was he hated to see it end like it did. You all know that Fan is short for fanatic right? I pull for Post 100 and really love to see them win and I happen to have one of the best coaches in the state coaching this team so there is a lot of winning and there is a lot of expectations when you put on the Post 100 shirts. We are not perfect by any means. Only issue I had all weekend was there was not enough shade to go around! Congradulations to Wilmington on there state title and I hope they do well in Sumter. The way they hit the baseball and keep pressure on teams I think they may make it to Shelby.

BTW if you want to throw around world series placements Cherryville has two second place finishes to its credit! The baseball played in Area IV is as good as it gets when it comes to competitive teams and passionate fans!

Hey Sumo....... I know Cherryville does have great teams from time to time and it shows on the field. It is never easy to beat Cherryville. I was surprised in a way Cherryville lost the last game to Wilmington but I guess Wilmington is on a roll.

I saw Kernersville beat Cherryville back in 2010 and beat them solid 10-2. Our pitching was dead on that day and I felt Cherryville was the best team in that tournament K'ville play in that tournament.

More or less Area IV is Cherryville....they won last six titles??? Don't get me wrong Caldwell was superb in 80's and 90's. (2005-2006 probably were real good but probably lost great players to MLB draft?) When I think of Area IV , I think of Cherryville BAR NONE! Area III could be any of four teams I think ....K'ville, Rowan County, HP and Randolph County. Mooresville seems to get better and could threat to win the title in next few years....who knows!

Maybe Carolina Man is very classy guy but it looks and read like he is on the same level as those coaches and players that was ejected from the game. That really leave a bad taste for ANY FANS that enjoy American Legion ball.

It does not surprise me to see some of those behaviors from some teams like CC. I seen some players and coaches went ballistic like that and it degrade a fine game like baseball. Those behaviors should stay in WWE or something in that mode.

I know for a fact that it is lot harder to swallow pride and keep anger in check with some calls being made against your team. Who knows....if that coach accept the call and move on then tell his ball players to get even at the bottom of 9th with the bats. I am not saying that will happen but I seen some strange things happen to any legion teams that come back such as Kernersville against Wilmington back in 92. We were down 8-0 and end up winning it all 20-19.

U said I don't know Cherryville....again like I said...it doesn't matter who the team was ..it could be China baseball team(which I do not care for in Olympics..they are a machine!) It is not right to do what Douglasville GA team did last year to Cherryville.

This was posted by another guy on another forum and I agree with him.

The Southeast regionals were different. The Douglasville Georgia catcher deliberately hit the Cherryville player with the ball and then struck another Cherryville player, then other Douglasville players rushed towards home plate where this was happening, which caused Cherryville players to come out of the dugout. That's somewhat understandable.

As most of you guys know, both teams were disqualified from the SE Regional tournament according to the rules of AL.

I am not sure exactly what all that happened with CC and Cherryville in top of 9th. I mean from the start to finish of the inning. I just saw what I seen on you tube and another video. CC could have been DQ or forfeit right there in top of 9th. I have to check the rules..... The umpires could have control the game better I think. All that behavior by Caldwell County Post 29 coaches and players leave a very bad taste for American Legion baseball ANYWHERE!

Cherryville was hardly innocent in the dust up with GA...I'll leave it at that.
