Reminder: Lady Blues Elite 18U Annual Tryout

The Lady Blues Elite will be looking to add several new players to our roster for the fall 2012 / summer 2013 season. All positions will be considered, with special emphasis placed on players who have desire to play outfield. Looking for grad yrs. 2014, 2015, and 2016 if skill level is appropriate.

We have 8 events planned and confirmed for the fall season, including Southern Force Showcase, Legendary Showcase, Carolina Clash Showcase (in conjunction with UNC sponsored college tournament), Gold Diamond Showcase, and others that include on college campus one day showcase events.

Our summer schedule will be filled with top showcase events, as well as our 8th consecutive trip to the Louisville Slugger Independence Day Tournament in Boulder, CO.

Our team is coached by Greg Spain, and managed by the original founder of the Lady Blues Organization, Rodney Threatt.

Angels 18u

The Angels 18u based out of Midland, NC is looking for a pitcher to share mound time. We are also looking for a 1st and 3rd baseman to fill positions due to girls leaving for college.

NC Challengers 18U

NC Challengers 18U, based out of Raleigh, is looking to add some key components to our roster for the Fall 2012/Summer 2013 season. Players who are interested in our openings should have graduation years of 2014 and 2015.

Specific positional needs are: pitcher, middle infield, and a slapper (all positions considered).

We have several high quality events scheduled for the fall season, including Rising Stars Showcase, Newtown Rock Gold Showcase, and other play-day's that include games on college campuses.

Our 2013 summer season will have several of the top competitive tournaments in the country, some of the best showcases offered, and a trip to Colorado for the Fireworks Tournament.

Surry Storm Fastpitch Club will be conducting tryouts on Sunday August 19 from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at Franklin Elementary School in Mt. Airy, NC. All positions are open and looking for players born in 1995 - 1997. Currently schduled to play in the following fall tournaments:

Just finished the Triple Crown Summer Nationals in Myrtle Beach tied for 5th place.

Queen City Spirit 14U Red Try-Outs

The Queen City Spirit 14U Red has received several inquiries regarding positions available beginning this fall and forward into 2013. Our first 14U season was a tremendous success with consistently strong A and AA bracket finishes in Top Gun and NSA tournaments. Our players exemplify positive attitudes, teamwork and sportsmanship. Our coaching emphasizes consistent reinforcement of fundamental skills resulting in continuous improvement. Our players are committed to practicing hard, playing at the highest level and having fun in the process. This team has been together for three seasons with very few roster changes. Our long-term plan is to transition this team to more ASA and College Showcase tournaments by the fall of 2013 as we begin playing at the 16U level.

Our 14U Red team of ’98 birthdays is looking to fill a few key positions including infielders, and speedy outfielders. We are especially looking for some great hitters! Tournament A Bracket experience is a plus.

Try-outs will take place on Sunday August 19th at New Covenant Methodist Church. Sign-in will begin at 6:00. We would like a second look at all players on Thursday the 23rd before finalizing our selections.

Please contact one of the coaches in advance so that we can learn more about your athlete and know how many girls will be attending. You can expect complete confidentiality and private try-outs can be arranged if necessary.

Piedmont Braves 14u tryout

Piedmont Braves 14u is having a tryout this Thursday August 9th at the I40 softball park field 3 from 6-8 pm. Our organization currently has 4 teams and is looking to add 3 or 4 players to an experienced team. All 97,98 and 99 birthdates are encouraged to show.
