CALDWELL COUNTY POST 29

Actually I use to call on a account located in Sumter SC. A friend who was at the game told me that the player bump the catcher and said somthing to him on the way back to the dugout. Now granted...it don't matter what was said, the catcher should not have reacted that way...but I guarantee you that it was not a good morning sir...or, nice play for the catcher to react this way...that's the reason I said ask the catcher...he know's what was said. It had to be something very wicked for a player to react that way at this level of ball.

While in Sumter during 05 or 06...Sumter was hosting the state tournament...great ballpark...great atmosphere. Sumter has a great tradition of American Legion Baseball History that is quite amazing. Bobby Richardson that played baseball with Mickie Mantle and the Yankee's still lives in Sumter SC and eats breakfast at the same diner every morning. I think the P-15's have about 14 State Title's and about three Regional Titles to their credit. Amazing town for Baseball

Would that be Wilson American Legion team that be the host??

 

I'm simply not familiar with many eastern teams, I suppose it would be Wilson, or it could be another local team in the Wilson area. I just don't know what teams are in that immediate area.

 

WELL ...I MIGHT HAVE TO ATTEND THIS TOURNAMENT....I LOVE BBQ AND I KINDA LIKE AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL...SO LETS GO...I SWEAR I'M THINKING ABOUT GOING TO SUMTER SC...USE TO WORK DOWN THERE AND HAVE SOME FRIENDS IN THE AREA THAT LOVE THIS ATMOSPHERE...I THINK SATURDAY AND SUNDAY WOULD BE GREAT TIMES....IF I KNEW THAT WILMINGTON NC AND SUMTER SC WOULD BE PLAYING IN THE FINAL GAME....I'M IN
