Ben McKinney - New Head Softball Coach at Forsyth Country Day

Congratulations to Ben McKinney for being named the new head softball coach at Forsyth Country Day. Ben is a great coach with many years of high level softball coaching experience. Ben will have a huge positive impact on the Furies softball program. Congrats Ben!

McKinney, a former coach at Reagan whose daughter, Brittany, was a standout at West Forsyth and North Carolina and now plays professionally, is an experienced coach who has been heavily involved with developing players.

McKinney owns and runs Rising Stars Softball Academy and has coached over 40 Division I players through coaching in the Carolina Cardinals organization.

"Our softball stadium is arguably one of the nicest facilities around and Ben wants to bring in colleges and professionals for camps and clinics, and that's exactly what I want," Turner said. "He is at a place in his professional career where he wants to build a program and develop players, and I am really excited about that."
