    Has anyone heard any more on this? The investigation was to take no more than 10 days, and that time is far past! I have a player wanting to try out for the ECU team as a walk on, and needless to say those tryouts were cancelled in lieu of the coaching staff's suspension.

    Thanks for any info, if known :)

    I suspect the fate of the current coaches will be known in the next couple of days. If they are not retained it's not clear what direction things go after that so tryouts may still be a few weeks away.

    The fate of the coaches was determined when this witch hunt began, they will not be back. The coaches and Athletic Dept were caught totally off guard, this is coming from the Administration side. Let's just say that a few current/former players got their feelings hurt. It is between the lawyers now.

    reading through that article I was beginning to wonder if Terry Holland had anything to say about it all. Does it seem strange that the chancellor seemed to be the main spokesman on this?

    Seems like they completely circumvented the AD as the article does note further investigation across all sports.

    I am still shaking my head at this not knowing what to think. Initially it feels like sour grapes of some players/parents...but that would not explain the investigation into finances.

    Just don't even begin to know what to think.

    This was 100% from the Administration side. It was their mission to find a reason to fire the coaches. The other issues mentioned, fiscal/property/expenses, are very minor. Yes, there were some violations, but they were minor. I would like to say more, but it is not appropriate at this time. But disgruntled parents (some with apparent connections to Administration) is what started this. The coaches cooperated 100% with the 4 month investigation until the questions became personal. They hired a lawyer and a week later they were suspended and then obviously fired.
