First of all, I would like to thank Coach Hawkins & Coach Pack for putting on a great camp on Sunday. The speech that Coach Hawkins gives the girls is always so informative and helpful. Second, I was just wondering if anyone knows who the little girl is who was at the camp who played an amazing short stop. She had on a Carolina Curve jersey and there were other girls there with the same jersey so I am assuming they played together. What caught my eye about her is that she obviously is a young player because she raised her hand as being under the age of high school and she is very small. My wife & I were talking about her on the way home and I just wanted to let her know that she is amazing to watch and to keep doing whatever she is doing because she sure will be something to watch as she gets older. She just seemed to have a natural know of the game. Another player (I am assuming from the same team) who was a catcher also hit about 3 out on the soft toss drill. Very talented girls! These girls should have fun when it comes time to recruit for college. I am not a coach from another team trying to get info, just a parent who noticed some great talent from some young girls and thought their coach could pass that along if he sees this post. Good luck to those girls in the future.

I will let the head coach give you their names. But i just wanted to say being a part of this Curve team for a little over a year now it has been amazing to see not only these two girls but the entire 11 and they way they have grown both on and off the fieild. They have had an awesome 2012 season going 60-5 in 12u ball, and moving up to 14u this fall with a 90-12 record overall with 11 championships in 16 tournaments. The passion for the game and the game knowledge and their want to get better every day is amazing for not only their age, but any age. They have been a great group, and very fun to watch and be around and look foward to seeing them improve and advance and move to the next level.

    Curve

All the girls at the camp that wore Curve apparel do all play on the Carolina Curve (Fain) 14u team. They are a second year 12u team that moved to 14u in Aug of this year. The ss you are talking about is in 7th grade the pitcher is in 7th grade and the other Curve girls there are in 8th grade. They are a joy to coach and they always give 100% on and off the field. They play and look for the best tournaments on the East coast and play the best competition around NC,SC,GA,TN,Va,Ohio and Fl.All of the Curve girls that were there have older sisters playing in college or going to college to play ball.Jeff Fain coached the 18u and 23u Carolina Curve and has come back down to help thses special players get recruited and go off to college like all the players from his 18u and 23u team did. They all will be amazing to watch next fall and beyond when they start getting looks from colleges. Thanks for all the kind words about our players we love them all!!!

Softball watcher- Thank you for the kind words regarding our girls at the camp. My daughter is the short stop and she loves playing on this team. As our coach said in the earlier post, they have worked very hard and their record this year has certainly shown that. Jeff Fain has made a world of difference since he decided to come down and coach our girls and we look forward to trying to achieve all that the 18U Curve achieved that was before them. It is nice for them to hear it from somebody other than their parents and coaches every now and then. I passed along your comments to her and she was very appreciative. Thanks again. Good luck to your daughter also!

I do remember watching the 18U Curve play. If this team follows in their footsteps that would be a great accomplishment! Good luck to this team in the future! Sounds like you have a great group!
