Great event yesterday in Raleigh, as USA Softball held a Talent Identification Camp at William Peace University.

Camp was a combine format with girls represented from NC, Va, Tn, SC and WV.

Coach Dobbins and Coach Biddlecome of WPU along with Lee-Anne Genetti and Veronica Ross assisted the National Team Staff in this talent combine. We are hopeful that one or two of the girls will get a chance to move on in the selection process and make one of the USA teams.. This was the only one held in NC this year.

    mission of event below...

The ASA/USA National Softball Talent Identification Program, powered by the Softball Factory hosted a talent identification combine on October 21st, 2012 at William Peace University in Raleigh NC.

The Amateur Softball Association (ASA) of America and USA Softball have created a strategic partnership with the Softball Factory of Columbia, Md.

In an effort to provide fast pitch players with more exposure to colleges and additional opportunities to be identified for the USA Softball Junior National Team, ASA/USA Softball and Softball Factory are launching a National Identification Program. The National Identification Program will help identify players for the USA Softball Junior National Team Selection Committee, while also providing additional college exposure and skill development through the Softball Factory brand.

The ASA strives to give players opportunities for participation and the best possible experience for those involved. With the Softball Factory as an Official Scouting Partner for ASA/USA Softball, this partnership will help facilitate that mission through various identification events and college recruiting guidance for ASA participants.

    Thanks for you response... also,

For the local girls who go to school out-of-state...

Is there a web site that list the other locations for the Talent Identification Program for any girl not able to attend the local event?

As info.... these camps / opportunities are for young ladies 13-18.....
These are identification camps... for high school level girls..
They are for filling spots on the 14U, 16U, and 18U USA National teams....

These are not try outs or talent evaluation camps for the USA National Team..........
