ASA/USA National Softball Identification Program coming to NC

The ASA/USA National Softball Talent Identification Program, powered by the Softball Factory will be hosting a talent identification combine on October 21st, 2012 at William Peace University in Raleigh NC.

The Amateur Softball Association (ASA) of America and USA Softball have created a strategic partnership with the Softball Factory of Columbia, Md.

In an effort to provide fast pitch players with more exposure to colleges and additional opportunities to be identified for the USA Softball Junior National Team, ASA/USA Softball and Softball Factory are launching a National Identification Program. The National Identification Program will help identify players for the USA Softball Junior National Team Selection Committee, while also providing additional college exposure and skill development through the Softball Factory brand.

The ASA strives to give players opportunities for participation and the best possible experience for those involved. With the Softball Factory as an Official Scouting Partner for ASA/USA Softball, this partnership will help facilitate that mission through various identification events and college recruiting guidance for ASA participants.

Cost: $50 per session, or $90 for both sessions

Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm (Hitting 12 and under/ Pitching 13 and up)
1:00 pm-3:00 pm (Hitting 13 and up/ Pitching 12 and under)

Check in: starts at 9:15am and 12:30 pm at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium

Need to bring: Medical history form from web camp page. Bat, batting helmet tennis shoes for hitting, and cleats for pitching.
* Pitchers need to bring someone to catch for them.

Eligibility for Camp: ages 8-18

From the South
Take exit 73 off of I-95, head west through Dunn, follow U.S. 421 west to Campbell University. Entrance is on Highway 421 approximately 15 minutes from Dunn (signs are posted).
From the North
Take exit 79 off of I-95, head west through Benson, follow NC Route 27 west to Campbell University (signs are posted).
From the West
Choice of U.S. 421 or NC Route 27 through Lillington. Both routes take you to Campbell University (signs are posted).

USC Upstate Softball Winter Camp

Upstate is hosting it's yearly winter softball camp on Jan. 26th from 11:00 until 4:30. The weather date is Jan. 27th. We have expanded our facilities with a practice infield and additions to our hitting area. We will only accept the first 200 so don't wait. We have exceeded capicity for over 10 years now. This is a great way to get ready fore the upcoming season. Concentration this year is on the mental side of the game. Please make sure you bring your cleats and Tennis shoes. Here is the brochure. UNCG Clinic In Clemmons 12/8

The UNCG coaching staff along with Diamond Star Training Academy will be conducting an All Skills Clinic Saturday 12/8 in Clemmons, NC, The clinic will be held at the indoor facility located at Wilson Park (near Southwest Forsyth Little League). Weather permitting, the adjacent softball field will also be used. The camp cost is $65 with hitting in the morning and defense (including pitching and catching ) in the afternoon.

Coaches Clinic with Ehren Earleywine

Take your players' games to the next level!

Red Raiders Softball Presents a Coaches Clinic with Coach Ehren Earleywine, Head Softball Coach, University of Missouri.

Coach E is coming to the Red Raiders facility (Raiders Edge) in Gaithersburg, MD on Saturday, Dec 29th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm to do a coaches clinic. The cost will be $85 per person. Registration will be through Red Raiders:

About an hour and a half or so of the clinic will be dedicated to hitting. This will be a classroom setting to dissect the absolutes of hitting.

The remainder of the clinic will be on another topic (not pitching). He will leave time for questions. This is insider advice for coaches at the travel, high school, and rec level. What you hear may surprise you.

There will be 2 sessions:
10am - 1pm
2pm - 5pm
Cost: $65 per player / Teams of 8 or more will receive a discount.
Players are welcomed to take advantage of the facility for free from 5-7 that day.
