    2014 DANIEL CALABRETTA - Weddington High School / South Charlotte Panthers has committed to attend college and play baseball at DUKE UNIVERSITY. Daniel will join the Blue Devils following his career at Weddington HS and with SCP.

    Congratulations to Daniel and his parents Art and Angie.

    That's awesome Daniel. Job well done.

    Thanks to your dad for including the little guys in with your father/son infield sessions. Without question, Art would let younger guys take a few, and both father and son would help younger players hone their fielding technique. It's good to see older players inspire and encourage others.     Congrats!

    That's a nice glove going into the MIF for Duke. Pollard is already making an impact at Duke and he hasn't even stepped on the field for his first regular season game in the ACC. Nice job Daniel and good luck at Weddington this year for another run at the State Championship.

    Congrats to Daneil.........

    Clem has seen Daniel play, probably, 12 times the past two years. Mostly with the Panthers. Clem says Daniel is a heck of a nice kid.

    Duke is getting a great kid. You possess the qualities of intelligence and athletic skills that make you a great fit for Duke. You will get a world class education while getting to play baseball in the ACC. Congratulations. Good luck this season at Weddington in leading your team in defense of their State Championship.
