I tried to talk with her today but she did not want to talk about anything. As for the AC he is just looking out for his daughter.

Sometimes, even though you may be in the right, things happen that you can't control. The good news is that the AC's DD can only occupy one position. That means you have at least 7 or 8 positions to compete for—9 if you count the AC's DD's position.

You can have a miserable season or you can change your perspective and maybe have an even better season than you realize. Who do you have the most control over? Don't let anyone take that away. Do something that's going to make your season worth your time.

"Things work out best for those that make the best of the way things work out." - John Wooden

"Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations. We cannot change our past. We can not change the fact that people act in a certain way. We can not change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude." - Charles Swindoll

Mental toughness reflects the ability to be correctly focused in the toughest of situations. In a game, the only thing that you can control is how hard YOU work. With every new day comes new strength and new thoughts. Never quit doing what truly makes you happy. Just go play and have fun and keep focused on the things that are the most important.

Hey FP.... the last 2 post are great... You and the rest of the girls keep your heads up. If your team is winning, keep moving forward. What have you learned here. Use this experience as one of those teachable moments in time. We all have them. Good luck.

Thanks to everyone for the help. I hope we can get threw this and use it as a learning tool. Maybe we can win some games for the girls that stick it out to finish the season. The girls do not play the way they can due to getting blessed out by HC and AC for thinking on there own. All but one girl get blessed out and the coaches have to micro manage everything.

THE MOST IMPORTANT SKILL you can have, in my opinion, is a Positive Mental Attitude! It doesn't matter what age you are, either. If you don't have one, it can be learned (and practiced). It will take you places you wouldn't otherwise go.

Not trying to be mean, but at the moment you don't have a positive mental attitude. Not calling you one, but don't be a whiner.

Of all the people you know, who has the most positive attitude ever? They should be a role model!

You will get answers here about having fun and making memories coming from people who haven't been where you are as a young female player. The reality is if you talk to the coach you will get a hard lesson about the male ego and your playing time will cease to exist. He would rather sabatoge the entire team than admit he is wrong. Been there, done that. They like pretty on this board but the truth is not pretty and you might as well learn about life now because in a few years you will be in the real world without the protection of mom and dad. The sad fact is you are going to have to accept the way things are, play hard and show them by making something of yourself or quit. Those are your two choices. It hasn't changed in 50 years and it isn't going to change now. I'm sorry you are having to go through this but believe me there are plenty of other girls going through the same thing and unfortuately there are some dads who are willing to sacrifice everyone else to make their own daughter stand out and as time goes by take notice of how those that have had things handed to them turn out. Work hard and you will come out on top. I don't want to sound harsh but you are in high school and you need to know the truth. Everyone on this board can name at least one player they know personally who is sitting in the bleachers watching instead of playing college softball because their dad made them think they were God's gift to softball during their formative years. You will come out on top if you play hard and learn to deal with adversity because it is something you will have to deal with for the rest of your life. I wish you the very best of luck.
