CPC conference baseball

The CPC games this year have been a blast to watch with the new format. Other conferences are already talking about changing to this format of playing the same team in the same week. From what I have seen this year, it seems as North Davidson may be the best offensive team in the CPC and Roberson and Mayton are tough to beat on the mound. West Forsyth also has great pitching with Bates, Holden, and Sonafrank. If they can get the bats going then that should be a great match up. RJR does all of the little things right and those kids play hard. When Welch is on the mound, they are a tough team to beat. Davie, Reagan, and Mt. Tabor also all have talent and can beat anyone on any given night. Walker at Davie, Vogler at Reagan, and St. Clair at Tabor are all very good arms and can shut down any team. Good luck to all of these teams in the last 2 weeks of the regular season. Excited to see how it all plays out!

This week with the new schedule ND will play two with West, Davie and Reynolds will play and Reagan and Mt Tabor. Should be an interesting battle for first and for fourth with a very good team missing the playoffs.

what is the process in the wildcard situation for two teams that tie for the only spot? I know initially it is win percentage, but lets say two teams end up with the same overall record. What is the next comparison that they look at?

Im specualting that you are looking at the wild card. I have been trying to look at McDowell and Reagan the last week. Last overall I saw for Reagan was 12-8 not counting the game they played against Surry Central last night(i have not seen a score for them). McDowell is 13-7 with two games remaining at Asheville tomorrow and home tuesday 4/30 against AC Reynolds. At this point those are the two teams looking at the wc birth as the conferences sit now and barring a team not automatically qualified winning a conference tournament and kicking another team with a better win % down to the wc teams.
If I am wrong guys please correct me, I have been looking through MaxPreps and making analysis off of that.

 

Reagan won the game yesterday with Surry Central. It may not be Reagan, however, as Reynolds might be on the outside looking in depending on how the games play out on Friday night.

 

In the conference tournament Reagan beats Reynolds and Davie comes from behind to beat Mt Tabor 5-3 on a three run home run by Ben Beeson in the bottom of the seventh.

Tomorrow Reagan will play West Forsyth at 5 and Davie will play North Davidson at 7:30 - both games will be at West Forsyth.

With Reagan beating Reynolds in tournament does that give Reagan the final spot in the automatic qualifiers from that conference?
