Fayetteville State Welcomes 2013 & 2014 signees

Several talented young ladies from North Carolina (and the country) have committed to play for Fayetteville State University in the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 seasons as the program continues to progress towards becoming one of the most competitive Division II teams in their conference and surrounding conferences.

We would like to welcome the following young ladies and express how excited we are about them joining the Broncos squad:

I think this will be a VERY exciting year for this program, as the new recruits are strong not only in accomplishments but absolute grit.

Erica is an amazing player to watch on the field and will have a huge and immediate impact on the team's outfield. She joins 2 CIAA All-conference first team players, in Spencer Embler (Who was also just recently named to the All-State team and was justly awarded the team MVP) and Sierra Holmes (three time honoree of CIAA Defensive Player of the Week in 2013 and the teams Defensive Player of the Year), CIAA 2nd team All Conference player Nikki Taylor (the teams Rookie of the year) as well as the CIAA Rookie of the year, Kristi Bell, and All-Rookie team member Brittany Freeman. Add to all of these players the freshman phenoms Rebekah Reep, Zoe Howard, Halee Knowles, and Kyrin Walker as well as an amazingly talented transfer in Alex Wickham and the possibilities for this team are endless.

What I love most about all of these players is that they are the player that will drag a broken leg behind them around the bases, all the while insisting they are fine. They have guts, determination and talent - in the classroom and on the field - total packages that are hard to find

Can't wait to cheer all the girls on with you I truly believe that THIS is THEIR year...the first of many, many to come
