    Garner appeal is upheld

    Update from Fleming Stadium. Garner is back in the chase. They play Randolph County @ 4 pm today, then the winner plays Kernersville tonight since K'ville defeated Wilmington on Monday night.

    Garner loses out; settled on the field

    Randolph Co. beats the "11/12 man" Garner team something like 8-4.

    So it's now Randolph, Wilmington, & Kernersville.

    Randolph will advance to host team at SE Regional regardless of outcome at Wilson.

    Wilmington. 000 010 002-- 3
    Kernersville 000 002 000--2

    Wilmington gave it away in the 6th and Kernersville gave it back in the 9th. 2 unearned runs in both those innings in an otherwise well played, State Final. Both starters threw exceptionally well, with Kernersville's Edwards pitching into the 9th and O'Donell for Post 10 tossing a complete game. Area III missed having 2 representatives in the Southeast Regional by one 9th inning groundball!! Great run by Kernersville!

    Why do you suppose Carlos Rodon didn't play legion ball?
