Firecrackers Softball

The Firecrackers NC are fortunate to also have Taryne Mowatt, a 2-time National Champion pitcher with Arizona, winner of 2 ESPY's and former NPF player as the pitching coach/pitching director for our organization. We also have our own private indoor facility where will will provide year-round training where we will give more to our players and parents than just a uniform and tournaments!

Our mission is to provide a level of training to our players that ensures the highest level of social and athletic development and growth. Playing the game professionally, having self-respect, and respecting others are the core values that this program was built upon. Being a Firecracker means you understand that you are beautiful, certain of yourself, and very capable of playing this game. Most importantly, you are striving to make the decisions that will provide you happiness for the rest of your life.
The Firecrackers organization is dedicated to the progressive advancement of players both as athletes and young ladies. It is our goal as an organization to teach our players important life lessons through the game of softball, such as discipline, hard work, commitment, perseverance and the value of teamwork.


We are proud of the success that Firecracker players have experienced in Travel Ball, at the College Level, at the Professional Level and at the National Team Level. It is the goal of the coaching staff to provide an environment to develop the individual skills of each of our players to the best of our ability. We will also emphasize to all members the importance of team play and accomplishing our goals as a team. We know that we will incur failure over the course of the year, but understand that making mistakes is an opportunity to learn.

Although individual awards and accolades are great, it is our belief that nothing beats accomplishing goals as a TEAM, because when the team succeeds, we all succeed, no matter what individual role we played in that success. And we want to promote the success of all travel ball players, not just Firecrackers.

Charlotte Magic 18u Tryouts

The Charlotte Magic 18u Showcase will be holding an open tryout Jan 17th starting at 1pm. Location is Northside Christian Academy located in the Univ area of Charlotte.

All positions will be considered.....

We are looking for strong dedicated "A level" players with a desire to play in college. Our schedule includes some of the most compeititve showcase tournaments in the southeast as well as ASA National Qualifiers and NC states, with the goal of qualifying for Nationals....

Carolina Angels 12u Tryouts rescheduled!!!

Tryouts from today have been rescheduled till next weekend!

The Carolina Angels 12u (02 and 03) team is coming off a successful fall season and looking to add 1-2 players to our roster for the spring. We are seeking experienced travel ball players with a great attitude that can fit in well with our existing players.

We will be playing 10-12 tournaments throughout North and South Carolina through the spring/summer and need a couple of girls to complete our team. All positions will be considered, but we are primarily looking for shortstop, outfield and utility players. Our tryout will be held at Nation Ford High School in Fort Mill, SC on the following dates:

Saturday, January 10th at 1:30 - 3:30

This is not a new Team forming however this is the TC THUNDER 03 Team who in which is very excited to join the Firecrackers Organization. We want to thank the Firecrackers NC for giving us this opportunity.
We are a combination of 03's and 04's but we are not opposed to looking at 02's.

We have our own Indoor Facility that is equiped with a Cross Fit Section, Cage, Hitting Stations, Pitching Lanes and that still leaves us with about 1000Sq' for fielding drills. The Team is currently doing winter conditioning along with honing in on mechanics. Contact me if you would like to join our workouts during the week.

We are looking for:

A solid infielder to share time at SS/2nd/3rd during certain pitching combinations.
Will always look at pitchers/catchers.
Solid outfielder with speed.
most of all we are looking for the 3-C's (Character, Commitment, and Confidence) from the player and parents.

Charlotte Starz 10U-Gold Team Winter Tryouts/Workouts
The Charlotte Starz organization will be holding winter tryouts/workouts looking for new select players and families. All positions will be considered, including pitchers & catchers. We are looking to play 8 to 10 tournaments through the fall. We will be holding initial workouts for prospective players at one of our practice field locations on Sunday, January 11th. In the event of bad weather, we will move from Bradley Center to the Rollins Sports Complex, a few minutes away, located at 1117 East Ozark Ave. Gastonia NC.
We are also looking for anyone that may be interested in joining the coaching staff if they have any prior experience coaching fast pitch softball.

L-Town Xtreme 14U - Summey

L-Town Xtreme is happy to announce that we will be fielding a new 14U team for the coming 2015 Season. if you are interested in a try out come out on Saturday January 10th to North Lincoln Middle School @ 2pm.

All positions will be looked at but we are definitely looking for a Pitcher and Catcher. Girls with 2000, 2001 and 2002 birthdays will be considered.

Our objective with these girls is to teach them to be better ball players in hopes they will carry what they learn with them through their softball career. We have an indoor batting/practice facility and participate in several camps through the winter to keep the girls active for the spring season

NC Rockers Showcase 18U -Murphy

The NC Rockers-Murphy, has an opening for a season pitcher for the 2015 season. She should be able to pitch at an elite level and be versatile to play other positions We will compete in some of the largest and most competitive tournaments in the southeast in 2015.

We also have an opening for a player that can play 1st,outfield and/or be an all around utility player. She too, should be able to compete at an elite level, with a proven bat and a strong desire to contribute in a positive way in a team environment.

Team NC Martin 18U adding 1-2 Players

Team NC Martin is interested in adding 1-2 players to their already strong roster. We are interested in adding players that are either 2015 or 2016 graduates with interest in playing a competitive showcase and tournament schedule.


In the last 3 years, Team NC has over 50 college commitments (D1 and D2). Team NC Martin currently has 7 commitments (UNC-Charlotte, Virginia Tech, Furman, NC State, Queens, Mars Hill, and Lenoir-Rhyne) and has a goal of 100% commitments by May/June as well as continuing to improve the already committed players and ensuring they are college ready when they arrive on campus.


In 2015 (summer and fall) we will compete in the Diamond 9, Elite 90, Colorado Sparkler, Diamond Classic, Cardinal Classic, Dynamite Classic, and ASA Qualifiers (we will not seek a PGF berth in 2015).


In 2014, our team competed in the Diamond 9, Team NJ Showcase, Elite 90, Colorado Sparkler, PGF National Championship, Cardinal Classic, Diamond Classic, and the Dynamite Classic.
