The Tega Cay (TC) Rockets were formed in 2009. The team grew into an organization hosting multiple teams in different age brackets. As of January 2015, Mr. Bret Wolf has assumed the head coaching position of the 16u/18u team. 2014 was a banner year for the Rockets who won the USSSA SC State Championships and went to the USSSA World Series in FL. We wish to continue and build upon this success moving forward.

    We are looking for:
Well rounded players with a good attitude and work ethic.
Team players who know how to work hard yet have fun while doing so.
Most importantly we are seeking young women who want to play softball to the best of their ability and who want to learn to be better competitors.

    Chatham Elite 12u Tryouts

The Chatham Elite Fastpitch Organization would like to announce that we are expanding; we are adding a 1st year 12u team to our successful organization. All positions are open to players with 2003, 2004, & 2005 birth years. Tryouts will be held Sunday May 17th 2pm at Bray Park, 700 Alston Bridge Rd, Siler City, NC

The Chatham Elite Organization is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that is based in Siler City & was established 13 years ago by Robey Burke. Robey has been instrumental in the Chatham Elite Organization’s growth with his strong leadership skills, & deep love for the game. Robey started off with one team & a vision. His vision was to build an organization that would be family oriented, as well as, provide a place for skilled athletes to play that may not otherwise have a chance to reach their full potential. Our organization keeps things running smoothly through the guidance from our Board of Directors & its committees.

The Chatham Elite Organization has a reputation with college coaches of bringing top talent to the game of softball. Our College Connection Committee works with our players and families to help get them ready for the recruitment process. There is much more to college recruiting than showing up at a showcase tournament & playing good ball. With guidance from our College Connection Committee our players have a much better chance of being scouted and recruited by their chosen colleges.

My daughter is an early '03 player looking for a new team. Her last team was Lake Norman Lightning. Though we were very happy with the team's great group of players and coaches, she has been dropped from the roster due to circumstances beyond her control. The coach made it clear that he would be more than willing to discuss his thoughts on her abilities if a prospective coach desired.

She played for the 12U Charlotte Magic in the Fall of 2014 as an OF with some game time on 1st. But due to personal reasons, the coach had to quit coaching, and that team was dissolved.

She has playing ball since she was 6. I coached her for seven seasons in Rec Ball before we made the decision to get her into travel ball. It got to the point where staying in Rec Ball would have hurt her more than help her. Though she was on a 12U team for me, she played as a guest on our town's 14U team last season which had played up to the 18U league. She was able to hold her own against players on 18U teams.

She is a very dedicated player, full of enthusiasm, and loves the game. She is an all around player with experience at all positions except catcher. She does well at 1st and 3rd, but she really shines as an outfielder, primarily centerfield. She has the ability to make an accurate throw from mid-center field to home. She's a lefty that is able to drag hit, slap, and bunt. She has pitched before, but doesn't have the necessary mechanics or speed to be called a "pitcher" but is still eager to become better.

We live in Clover, SC so we are hoping to find a team in south western Mecklenburg County, Gaston County, or York County. We don't mind travelling to tournaments, but we hope to find a team as close as possible (preferably an hour or less drive, but willing to drive farther under the right circumstances) so I can dedicate the time to get her to and from every practice. We are also more than willing to come to you for a tryout session if desired as schedules allow.

Please contact me via email at [email protected] if your team has an opening available.
