Lake Norman Lightning 02 Looking for Pitchers

The Lake Norman Lightning Organization is looking to strengthen its "02" pitching staff. We have 1 pitcher at this time and she is an "A" bracket pitcher. We are now looking to add two more solid "A" bracket pitchers to compete at a high competitive level. We practice at North Mecklenburg High School in Huntersville, NC. There is plenty of mound time to be shared.

We will be holding tryouts Saturday, January 16th at 11:00 at North Mecklenburg High School. We are looking for pitchers that have great control, can hit their spots, have good movement on their pitches and are coachable, a team player and are competitive. We compete in ASA, NSA, USSSA. We will be playing in regional and a few national tournaments.

Our head coach is the assistant coach at North Mecklenburg and will be starting his 27th year as a softball coach. Our staff is very knowledgable and up to date on techniques and skill development. They attend high school and college softball camps/clinics and have the girls best interest in mind. They are also about teaching girls about life lessons and not just about softball. We preach fundamentals and sportsmanship.

Our "02" team had a very successful season last year and have been together for 3 years. They are a great group of young ladies who work hard, play hard, have a passion for the game, have fun and want to play in college. Scheduled tournaments will offer an opportunity to play against the best competition and exposure to college coaches.

Carolina Elite 14 Gold Tryouts

Carolina Elite 14 Gold - Fisher has 2 - 3 available spots open for an already established travel team. We are looking for committed, advanced skill level players who have the desire of playing on the next level. This team is Coached by Josh Fisher, who has, over the course of the last 2 years had 11 girls from his 14 u Gold team, verbally commit to D1 institutions. Players need to have a 2001 birth year or beyond. The team over the last 2 years has won the Scenic City Showcase, PGF Qualifiers, ASA Qualifiers, are defending ASA 14u State Champions, etc. They will also compete in the Atlanta Legacy, Scenic City, Birmingham Thunderbolts 5-Star, PGF Qualifiers and the PGF National Championships in Huntington Beach, Ca. The team has received national recognition as they finished 2015 ranked inside the Nations Top 20 14u teams, at #19. Coach Fisher doesn't have any children and also is a Head High School softball coach, as well as, former College Baseball player.

NC Challengers Elite 16U - Seeks 3 Players

NC Challengers are seeking three ‘team’ players for their 16U Elite team. This team is based in Raleigh, NC and is made up of players in 9th through 11th grade that seek to play on softball on a national level. We are looking for:

1. Speedy centerfielder (slapper or power hitter)
2. Quick second baseman with a good bat
3. Pitcher to complete our staff
4. HITTERS AT ANY POSITION WILL ALSO BE CONSIDERED

Specifically, we are looking for players that can help us to a high finish at 2016 PGF 16U Nationals and compete at the highest level of tournaments in the nation including PGF Qualifiers, Team NJ events, Sun Classic Events, and Triple Crown Fireworks in Aurora, CO.

L-Town Xtreme 12U Looking for players

L-Town Xtreme Fast Pitch 12U Milburn is looking for 3 additional players: Pitcher, Catcher and Utility player. 2003 or 2004 Birth dates or exceptional 2005.

This is a great organization with a focus on the girls getting stronger mentally and physically. We are not trophy hunters, we play to compete and learn. Access to an indoor batting facility and regulation size fields.

The L-Town Xtreme Organization currently fields 9 teams ranging from 10U to Showcase.

DC Thunder 10u Softball Try Outs Jan. 23!

DC Thunder Mission:
We are the Davidson County Thunder. We are a girls fast-pitch travel softball organization. We are a family/community based organization. Our goal is to teach the game of fast-pitch softball at a highly competitive level. During this process we want to teach these young ladies good sportsmanship. We want them to understand and develop good work habits and good character traits that will stay with them from now on. We will play a number of travel tournaments next spring.

 

18u Sun Devils Tryout Cancelled

The tryouts on: Sunday, January 24 at South Iredell HS have been cancelled due to impending weather.

However the The NC Sun Devils Elite 18u team is still looking for pitchers and utility players for the upcoming 2016 season.

We are looking for the class of 2017 or 2018, will look at 2016 & 2019 if right fit. Seeking an "A" level pitcher who is looking to pitch more innings and a utility player who has the ability to play infield and outfield.

Firecrackers SC - Hutto (12U)

The Firecrackers SC - Hutto team is looking for talented and athletic girls to help push our team to the next level.

We have a great core group of girls, and are seeking that "special" player to help us reach our goals this year.

A strong, "A" level, bracket pitcher is needed, as well as athletic utility players with a big bat. Those are some specific needs, however, we will not turn down a great player at any position.

We will be playing a very competitive schedule in the Spring and Summer against some of the best teams in the Southeast. We are already scheduled to kick-off our season by playing in tournaments that include teams from SC, GA, TN, NC, AL, TX, VA, IN and KY.

If you want your daughter to begin getting exposure to the most competitive softball at this age, then this may be the team for you. We are already applying for prospect tournamnets as a first year 12U team, that will help position us well for acceptance into large showcase tournaments in the future.
