new coach at Alexander Central

Who will the top players be at Alexander Central be this season? I am looking forward to following you guys this year. Where can I find a schedule at? Coach Lingle knows her softball, so you guys should be fine.

 

with 7 graduated players and only 2 or 3 practices how does ac even consider "top" players. This is going to be a young team with new coach. Climbing to the top players at best. With time their will no doubt be some quality players rise to the top since we are talking about ac with or without sherrill. I also think with all the mess sherrill has evidently faced from the school. I believe this was sherrill's last great play. Last minute ditch means every player that he has worked with and was going to put in place because there is no time for big changes. Think about it! Just my observation.

 

We have a lot of talented players this year. Just because there was 7 seniors last year doesn't mean that the underclassmen were bad players. We come from a talented community and our county has been very well organized with softball even when we were little. Our county has one of the best recreation softball programs. We have all worked with coach Sherrill sometime while we were younger. Just because he isn't our coach this year makes us work harder and want to win State this year. If you haven't seen us practice this year then you shouldn't be saying anything about our team. Also, most of the girls play on some sort of traveling team every summer. And remember, its not the coach who is playing the game or on the team, its the girls on the field and in the dugout. So before anyone says anything about the Alexander Softball Program make sure you know something for sure.

Can you pitch? What are your strengths at the plate?

 

We have a lot of good hitters and about 5 pitchers so I think we should be pretty good. I'm not going to say who our best hitters are b/c our season has just started but I'm sure that everyone will know in time to come.

I agree completely with acsoftball_28681...nobody has see our practices yet! They are going just as they normally would! We as players are the ones that determine how we play! As long as we go to practice everyday with the right attitude we will be successful due to the fact that we practice hard and never let up! To any of you who think that we aren't going to be the team that we have have been in the past years, you need to come watch us play! We are going to be at the top as we always are just because the past week has brought us so much closer together as a team! Yes we lost a good coach, but we also had another good one to replace him, and with the death of Tiff, there is a spot to fill on the field and I think the whole team will pull together to fill that hole! Hope that you get to make it to a game this season just to see that the awesome Alexander Softball Program that everyone knows is still there!

 

really pumped about fastpitch starting up especially AC fastpitch.
with a daughter playing now I am really excited to see that players are going the extra mile to make this the best year yet. hope to see that desire spread to all players so that winning isn't everything it's the only thing. Show the freshman how to work harder than the coaches ask you to. AC ladies you are the best group of girls bar none. looking forward to a great year. Tell all the ladies about this forum and get the chatter up on your on website also, to keep the fire going.
