    Olympic vs West Charlotte ???

    Did anyone see the game?

Thomas Hovis must have pitched very well. How many innings did he throw and who were the hitters?

It's amazing that at least 3 '05's were the starting pitchers for their team yesterday

Do not be surprised by the success of 05's. The 05 talent pool is tremendeous in NC. These kids have played 5 to 6 years of very competitive baseball on the regional and national levels.

Was the Long that pitched for West Charlotte the small lefty underclassman?

I didn't see the game but I have gotten a first-hand report from an Olympic dad. Thomas Hovis went all 5 innings, struck out 8, gave up 2 hits, walked none and hit 1. The one WC run was unearned. Hovis also hit a three-run double. Matt Claphan was 2-3 for Olympic.

The Olympic dad tells me that West Charlotte is really weak.

    Butler versus Vance

Who pitched? How did everyone look? - Both teams answer back.

Butler pitched Rex-sr., Hicks-jr.,Logan-soph.,Haus-sr. each for about 30 pitches. Hitting for both was little weak (IMO).
