    Thanks for the updates on Kyle Seagers. I have know this kid and his family for years. Saw him during basketball season playing for the Varsity against North Meck. He is a good young man with a bright future!

    Update

    Northwest JVs have won their last two, a 16-12 victory over Davie Co up there and a 16-9 win over Lake Norman to go to 6-0. Looks like there is a showdown in the NPC at the JV level Friday when NW heads to Mooresville for a double header!

    I hear Mrsvl has a stout class of freshman in their program as well? Any response or confirmation of that?

    Mooresville JV has no real superstars or anything like that. They're hitting, pitching and defense are ok, I guess. They're just making plays and getting timely hits. They will find out alot more about themselves after tomorrow night. I know that NWC is very good. I hope our boys can play with them.

    NWC-Mooresville Results

    Mooresville is very good, I mean, real good, there is a future at that school on the diamond...I'll leave it at that

    Mooresville is 9-2 (5-1 NPC)

    Mooresville has split the season series with St. Stephens and NWC, both very good teams this year. They have wins against W. Rowan, E. Rowan along with the victory in game one vs. NWC (today), all in the span of one week. They also have wins against S. Rowan, C. Cabarrus and Ashbrook to name a few. They have gone through the meat of their NPC schedule already with a trip to E. Rowan and home game vs. W. Rowan yet to be played. The win over NWC today was huge for this team and they proved that they could play ball with a good team. No superstars, just a team.

    Umpires are part of the game. Its obvious that it was a close play at the plate but I did'nt see the umps taking the game away from the Trojans. BOTH GAMES WERE ONE RUN WINS, taking care of business? I guess we're chopped liver? Thanks for the kind words. WE ARE TIED FOR FIRST REGARDLESS OF HOW GOOD THEY ARE.

    First of all you cant say that NWC had to play 11 players, I recall a play at the plate in the second game when #9 was called out tagging up on a fly ball that could have put NW down 2-1 with Mooresville having the momentum going into the bottom of the 5th. And secondly, NWC didnt take care of business in the second game. The score was 2-1 with the winning run scoring on the last play of the game. I also heard the Trojans were pitching a junior in the second game. Not saying thats bad or anything I just wish we would have known so we could have brought down one of our juniors to pitch to make it fair. OH WELL
