Alexander Central @ Freedom: A third conference loss for AC would be difficult to over-come in the tough NW4A. Freedom is a tough team with a good record. They are currently 2-1 in conference. Neither team can afford to loose this matchup.

04/01, East Forsyth @ Northwest Guilford
EF and NWG are battling for that key #2 spot in the conference behind North Forsyth. This is the conference opener for both teams and the both want to start out strong.

    04/01, McDowell at South Caldwell
World War III. South Caldwell 11-0, McDowell 8-1. These two are battling for the top of a tough 7 team conference. A loss for either would not be devastating, but McDowell has already dropped one in conference and would hate to make it 2.

    04/01, South Meck @ Providence
It doesn't get any easier for South Meck after tough games last week against East Meck and Myers Park. Many people consider Providence the most dangerous team in the conference.

    Schedule for Thursday, 04/03
04/03, South Caldwell at AC Reynolds
Even though ACR started the season with that great run, SC could bury them in conference since ACR is currently 2-2.

    04/04, Tuscola at TC Roberson
It doesn't get much more fun that this one. Tuscola got nipped last week. TC doesn't have the depth on the mound but can hit with anyone in the state. Absolutely GREAT game.

    04/04, Mooresville at NW Cabarrus
Mooresville is fighting to maintain the critical #3 spot in the NPC right now. NW is threatening to run away with the conference. One more big win may put them over the top in the conference. A loss by Mooresville could be bad for them.

    Schedule for Saturday, 04/05
04/05, Fort Mill High School @ Charlotte Christian
Rematch of last saturday's duel where Fort Mill over came Christian's 4 run lead in the bottom of the 6th to nip C.C. 9-8.

04/05, TC Roberson at West Henderson
This one is about pride. It's a non-conference match-up. It's in the mountains, it's on a saturday, it's a seven PM ... doesn't everyone want to spend a "week-end in the mountains?". If you want to get away to where the scene is breath-taking and the baseball is intense, go see this battle under the stars. Our own "Mudcat" announces for West Henderson.

Didn't say it was TC ... got nipped by Franklin, right? Talking about this year.

Nope. Never mind. It was East Henderson... just found it on the board.

Every team can have a bad inning. 1-2 losses mean nothing this year. I know West Henderson clean'd up on EH earlier. Have you seen WH play this year? How good are they?

West is talented they have the pitching and the hitters to go along way. Pridemore is one of the best Pitchers he played on the Orioles summer team and really impressed me.

    North Meck pitching rotation

Matchups for North Meck: (subject to change)

Tuesday: Porter (4-0) vs Central Cabarrus
Friday: Pierce (3-0, 2 Saves) vs Hopewell (probably Andrew Cruse)

An injury to Shortstop Matt Nossel (03 - pulled muscle in back during Ashbrook game) could change the rotation some. Pierce is the backup shortstop.
