    West Stanly defeated Monroe on Monday, 15-0 in just 2 1/2 innings. Jill Dry was winning pitcher, srtiking out 9 of the 10 batters she faced.

    West Stanly traveled to Forest Hills yesterday for a big game in the RRC2A. West won 2-1 in 8 innings. An under the weather, Keri Blackwelder was the winning pitcher. She gave up 6 hits and struck out 7. The Forest Hills run was unearned.

    West Stanly 10-3, 5-0

    West Stanly defeated Mt.Pleasant,1-0 in 8 innings. Jill Dry pitched 6 1/3 innings allowing only 3 hits. Keri Blackwelder came in to relieve Dry in the sixth. She pitched 2 2/3 innings facing 8 batters, striking out 6 of them. Blackwelder, Dry,
    Falon Hatley, Megan Burleson, Jessica Hathcock, Amber Stroupe, Brittany Love and Alisha Yow all had one hit

    Who is likely to finish second behind you in the conference, Forest Hills or North Stanly. They seem to have been your toughest conference opponents. Do you know whether they have played each other yet?

    Sorry for long delay in my reply....been away from the computer for a couple of days....as to our strongest competition in the RRC2A, I would say Forest Hills. Don't count out Charlotte Catholic, they beat North last week. We haven't played CC as of yet...should be fun in Oakboro next Tuesday at 7:00.

    Good Luck and keep us posted on the results! Where is Blackwelder planning on going to school....................i have heard something but hopefully hearing it from the "colts' mouth" will settle it? .....but she has been a joy to watch over the years!

    The state poll is getting closer........west stanly # 5 !!

    Should be a good one tonite in Oakboro!!! Keri will be announcing her decision very soon about her college...whatever her choice, they are getting an outstanding player.

    West Stanly defeated Charlotte Catholic tonite 10-0 in 6 innings. We had one of our best offensive nights, the team had 14 hits. Keri Blackwelder was dominate again on the mound. She struck out 9 and allowed only one hit. Our seniors are playing great and their leadership is coming through on the field. Jill Dry went 4 for 4 at the plate and Amber Stroupe was 3 for 4 (3 doubles), with 4 RBi's. Our overall record is now 13-3 and we are 8-0 in conference play. We play at Mount Pleasant on Thursday night.
