It was a very sloppy game for the Blue Devils. Too many errors in the field and not enough hitting. The Devils went down 8-0 before SP Michael Blocher was pulled. The Devils couldnt ever manage to come back. We'll see if they can recover today at home vs. WR

    Game suspended....

    W. Rowan @ Mooresville 5/2
Mooresville up 3-0, 1 out, one on in the bottom of the 4th when all heck broke loose (big storm). That big oak tree that stood behind the visitors bleachers across the street at the middle school fell and yanked down some power poles and lines. I guess they'll finish the game one day next week.

Lake Norman 14 North Iredell 1 (6 innings)

After a wind-delay (signs were falling off the outfield fence), a lightning delay and a rain delay, Lake Norman prevails over a very sloppy North Iredell squad as the 10-run mercy rule went into effect after six innings. A.J.Kindley pitches the Wildcats' 2nd straight 3-hitter.

    Pitching:
    WP - Kindley
    LP - McCloud

    Hitting:
LN - Ryan Williams (3 hits)
David Ward (2 hits, 3 runs, 2 RBI)

    NI - (n/a)

Alexander Central JV's beat Freedom 2-1 behind a "clutch" hit from sophomore Kelly McLain. Cougars remain in 1st place in the conference.

North Meck's JV picked up another win against Cen. Cabarrus 3-1. After a rain delay on Friday in the 4th, play was resumed on Sat. Leading hitters were John Kellett 2-3 (single and a double) and Zack Pou 2-2 (2-walks, single and a double). Brandon Kelly pitched 5 innings giving up no runs and helped himself with an RBI single. Bennett Hamilton closed giving up one run.
