West Wilkes has to rank up there as a great team that no one has seen and not too many people have heard of.

    Record:

    Bandys High School, W 4 - 3
    Surry Central High School, W 11 - 0
    Bandys High School, W 5 - 2

In the Western half of NC...I would say Ragsdale. Many people have heard of them, but few are talking about them. They are very strong with Kunta Hicks, J K Whited and Wes Wrenn

Also S. Fulton Co. is 22-0 with a pair of pitchers with no-hitters this year

Because they are small 1A schools deep in the mountains, both Swain and Hayesville are having excellent years. Swain has defeated both Franklin and TC Roberson, traditional 3A powerhouses, with their only loss coming to West Henderson. Hayesville battled West Henderson to a 1-0 game. These 2 teams are tied and undefeated in their conference. Their 1st game was tied 4-4 after 4 innings and suspended due to rain. They will complete that game this week as well as play their 2nd game. Both teams have a chance to go deep in the playoffs. Travis Fuller, a lefthanded pitcher for Hayesville, is an excellent arm.

what about Chase High School. Same conference as Bandys and East Rutherford. All 3 are tied for first. Bandys 9-2. East 9-2, and Chase 8-2, 15-2 overall. I feel East gets the respect it deserves because they're the defending state champs at the same time Chase high school is putting together a rather nice season.

M'cat, I had heard about Hayesville but Swain is a surprise to me. I had no idea they were having that good of a season.

    Thanks for the update !!!!!! :D :D

2A and 1A ball are overlooked WAY TOO MUCH ... and I would LOVE to see a matchup between Fuquay-Varina and West Henderson.

In the Piedmont area, all you hear about baseball wise is how great Ragsdale and Glenn are.

The team you guys need to remember in 3A ball from this area, is Northeast Guilford. They are by far the superior team in this area, with great pitching depth.

And don't sleep on Southwest Guilford from this conference. A very young team led by Chris Norwood and Tony Sturtzel behind great coaching, they are playing great baseball right now coming off a tough loss to Northeast, clicking at the right time.

Southwest hosts Glenn tonight at 7, and Glenn plays host to Northeast on Friday, as the PTC concludes a huge week of conference play.

    Welcome aboard SWFranchise

That's what this thread is about .... getting some teams mentioned that we aren't hearing enough about.....

Thanks for the update and keep posting. Can you give us some records/standings for those conferences????

4 months ago, we had 6 people posting ... all from the Charlotte area ... my how we've grown. Those 6 people followed a grand total of 3 different teams .... we have posters covering about 65 of the 320+ teams in the state now ... You will never get them all, because some posters drop out if their team isn't having a good season, but we still need to grow in every direction. There are only 3 conferences that are well represented right now...
NW4A, SW4A and NPC ....... we definitely need more.
