Josh Benton throws a complete game giving up three runs (1 earned) on three hits. He also hit three homeruns and had six RBI's in Mounts 11-3 win over North Stanly. Congratulations to a great kid. I also heard tonight that he just signed w/ Wingate.

Hey Tigers, you have a MP schedule for the rest of the season? I'd sure like to catch a few, but its like pulling hens teeth finding out when they play.

Sounds like Mr.Josh Benton is ok after getting plunked on the arm by a linedrive last week in the Catholic game... He's a real gamer...

He followed it up w/ one of the longest HR's I've seen hit in the last 6 or 7 years over the trees on the hill in right field at Monroe. Mount won the game 8-0 to clinch their third straight Rocky River Conference championship and the fifth in six years. Pirates, they have a doubleheader versus Forest Hills Friday starting at 4:00. And Braves, I'm with you on the rain, but with the way Mount is playing right now I would have loved to seen that game.

As for last night, I was reading in the paper today that Benton wasn't sure if he was even going to be able to go and Coach Swanson told him to just try to get in one or two good innings. I think that shows the heart the Benton kid has and I couldn't be any happier for him.

To finish off the week, Josh hit one more against Forest Hills in the second game of the doubleheader. It was his 5th in 3 days. Mount won the first game 14-0 and the second game 10-1. George Smith got the win in the first game and Seth Furr got the win in the second game. Homeruns were hit by Benton, Brandon White, Clifton Odell, and Jason Walker.
